I have been vaping now for nearly six months but am becoming increasingly frustrated by the constant leaks down the centre tube. I use CE4's, V3's, Kanger T2's, nova and nova mini, the CE4's aren't too bad but the others I take three or four puffs then have to take them off the battery and blow through. No point in anyone sugesting cartomisers tried them, don't like them and will never use them again and I'm not prepared to waste anymore money on equipment, if one of my systems is not working satisfactoraly by the time I get to Tesco's Saturday then it will be 50g of Erinmore mixture and I'll get my Falcon pipe out and give vaping up as a bad job. You'll hate the smell & taste of baccy, Dave.
I can't help with your leaky tubes but I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice soon.
Good luck:)

I went through the same thing, had a real issue with the vision V3 re-buildables, but, since then, I've used, along with a Vivi Nova, two V3r's without incident (not including e-juice in eye incident) I re-wick and re-build my own, and although vaping could be better with a better device (spheroid) - I can happily vape away without thinking about things, or without leaking. I am smoking a few roll ups here and there (stress and present issues), but vaping is the healthy option, sometimes not the easiest, and if you like shiny things not the cheapest, but for good health, it is the best way Why not give a vendor a ring (VapeEscape for eg.) for some over the phone advice? They can be really helpful, and might just save you a 50g purchase at Tesco best of luck, and try not to give up vaping or be too disheartened by it all.

Dave, is there an experienced Vaper near you that you could ask to have a look at your set-up. Unfortunately I am South of Bristol or I'd meet you somewhere, if you can't find anyone then I'm prepared to jump in the car at the weekend and meet you.
I do get a bit of liquid down the tube occasionally in my CE4's but it might be once per tank. Are you using high PG or thin liquids as they are thinner and may be bleeding into the center post? In fact if you've tried a few different atomiser types this to me points to the liquid aas it is what is common to the problem.....

Awwww Dave . . . you've got so into mixing as well. I've never had a leak with my Nova's, I wonder what's happening to yours. What are you using these widgets on out of interest?

The thing with these type of rebuildables is that there's only 3 ways juice can get into the centre tube (other than obviously by accidentally dripping juice down there as you fill). The first is at the point where the atty head screws onto the centre tube. Check the O ring and make sure it's screwed on tight. The top cap can sometimes catch on the atty head and unscrew the atty a bit as you remove the head, so check that the head is tight each time you take the top cap off. The second is at the point where the top cap presses down on the atty head to make a seal, check that the top cap is screwed on tight. The third is at the point where the wicks exit the centre tube. Check that the little silicone 'top hat' is seated firmly on top of the head to minimise this gap
I hope this helps

Aw Dave, Im so sorry you are having problems, it would be such a shame for you to pack it in after so long.
I have also had various problems, what with one thing and another, including leaking, some days I could throw the thing through the window (so far I havent lol) but once I get it working right I think.....Im glad I didnt fling it as I really would hate to go back to the fags...........Good luck in whatever you decide.

I have a t2 and although i like it alot the leaking was annoying me too. Thought it was just me I don't think the build quality is great on them, i've found on mine that if you only screw them down untill they just make contact they don't leak but they then wobble on the battery. I switched to a vh genesis which has its own reasons to swear at but it doesn't leak and it is consistant and reliable when you get the hang of it. I wish you the best of luck and I understand where your coming from but personally I feel (and smell) so much better for vapeing that I will make it work. The benefits are too big to go back.

My liquids are 50% minimum VG so that shouldn't be causing the problem, my batteries are 2 LT's, 1 Twist and an ego tube mod, and now for some reason my vivi nova seems to be behaving itself. Another frustration I had this morning a CE4 decided to die on me while I was driving to work had to rumage around in my bag to find another. Dave

It's not too dissimilar to having run out of matches, lighter breaking, flint breaking, not being able to find the lighter, spilling tobacco, trying to roll in the rain, running out of cigarettes, shop closed when you're about to run out. A leak here or there, a battery dropping down - in everything we do, there is always something, we just have to try and over come these little bumps in the road the best way we can. Stick with vaping No one wants to see you return to spending oodles on taxation and tobacco company profits

Dave, I've had clearos that don't work (for one reason or another), had many liquids that make me want to throw up, had batteries that don't last 5 mins, BUT... I will NEVER go back to ... ! It's all trial and error, and you WILL find the right set up for you. Don't you DARE give up In 6 months you'll be so proud of yourself and enjoying your vaping, or even given that up because you don't need it

Clearos and similar systems were always causing an issue for me when I used them, I occasionally use carto's still and dont suffer nearly as much with them. But leaks and foul tastes aside the issue of the word 'consumables' was really annoying for me, like you, I thought why the hell should I pay for as many consumables as I did , only to get the same issues all the time 'leaks, burny tongue, foul taste, forever having to wipe my mouth on something. Not a pleasant experience really.
Moving onto rebuildables with no centre tube was the best move I made, and the money I saved after the initial purchase was a huge blessing. You strike me as a kind of guy who isnt afraid of jumping in with both feet in order as to find the 'perfect vape", what with all your recent tobacco purchasing, steeping, mixing etc. In other words you know what you want but are frustrated by thinking you cant do anything about 'dodgy' setups.
I hate encouraging other people to spend their hard earned but I REALLY think you'll do well with a spheroid, I dont even own one myself (yet) but from what Ive read and the videos Ive watched this seems as one of the most stress free systems going, sure like genesis style there is an initial learning curve associated with them and arent nearly as 'ready to vape' as clearos are, but once you have them setup you wont worry about leaks and foul tastes nearly as much, you wont have to worry about buying replacement heads, and ultimately (hopefully) enjoying the hobby aspect properly.
I know the spheroid owners will now chirp in and verify any problems you may have initially and how to avoid them, and by then you will have once again gone up another level in the game, much the same way as moving from ego to LT and VV.
I knew what I was looking for in vaping and was determined to get there as quickly and cheaply as possible, im confident you will take pleasure in a spheroid or similar.
So, aside from throwing all that hard earned money that you have already spent away and going back to the already prohibitively expensive and unhealthy option of smoking, give it a go, Im confident youll be glad you did.
edited to add:- if you still cant adapt you can rest assured that selling a spheroid will just about go for what you paid for it.

Although a number of members on here don't like them, I am gradually changing over to Buds.
Okay, their a bit of a hassle to fill until you get the hang of them but once filled, they don't leak and last me about 4 hours. So even if I'm out for the day, a couple filled and loose in my pocket, will see me throught the day.

I was thinking a rebuildable of some description would be the way to go, I've one of the little basic, inexpensive drippers that you'd be very welcome to Dave, I'll pop some wick and wire in as well . . . it has had very light use.
PM me your address if you'd like it. Working today, but I can get it in the post tomorrow to you.
The Buds do give a nice vape, although personally I don't care for the thin whistle tips they come with.
The Spheroid gets a big +1 from me . . . .

Dave I hate it when things let us down, I had times like that before I had my re-buildables and it is horrible, for the price of about four clearo's you can get some good re-buildables so it is well worth it, very kind offer from Perpy worth a shot tbh and best of luck.
