Something that many of you have probably already discussed or at least though occured to me recently.
When I first took up vaping I was holding my wares almost like a flute and pressing the button with my index finger. This was fine but when I got my mini ego battery it was more noticeable that when I do this and my thumbis therfore pushing on the bottom of my clearo I am loosening the clearo tube each time I press the button. This has no doubt led to many of the leaks I have expereinced.
I recently switched to instead having the button facing downwards and pressing it with my thumb. This has meant that the only contact I'm making with the clearo is with my mouth on the dript tip and I've had a lot less leaks.
I think the reason I started vaping like that is that with the longer battery from my Riva kit doing the 'Flute' technique covered up more of it and as an insecure newbie this made me feel more comfortable.

maccafan has a thread where he added an extra bit on top of the button ,making a raised button on the vision spinner, i wonder if that would help.

I mostly use a Bolt or a Lavatube and tend to hold them in a loose fist, pushing the button with the button with the inside of my index finger around the middle knuckle, or hold it a bit higher and use the tip of my middle finger.
More like squeezing the button than pushing it down on it, really, as I find it more comfortable and get less strain, especially when chaining in the evening.

I always have the button up - unless I have to reverse because of airflow or something. I guess it is a bit like how did you hold your smoke

I have this amusing picture in my head of vapers all over the UK picking up their eGo-powered units and trying out the various different finger/thumb positions! For the record, I'm button-down, tip of the thumb (I've just tried all the other options too, yeah!)

Thumbs here with the exception of my mini ego, which tends to be used for stealth vaping, the i use my middle finger, with a loose fist, this hides everything except the drip tip

I hold my LT a couple of ways although my favourite is to have the bottom resting on my little finger and use my thumb to fire the button. The other way is to hold it in a closed hand and use my index finger to fire the button.
