It's all this cowardly vindictive trolling which has stopped me watching X Factor. I get so sick of watching contestants being torn to shreds via the internet, I don't care how annoying/untalented/arrogant/diva-ish the contestant is, it's just desktop bullying.

I enjoyed seeing Rylan stand up for himself against Gary, Gary was shocked, you could tell he isn't used to people telling him what they really think. Wasn't exactly a Rylan fan before, but he gets my vote for that alone, apart from the fact I wanted ella to win..

Reading a bit into Todd's YT post (and I've probably got it all wrong) but I also saw it as wanting to cut down the amount of time he spends on the many forums.
I take it the majority have also seen the update to the video...

Ah, see - I stopped watching it after last year so i don't know what's going on between Gary and Rylan, but I like the idea of contestants sticking up for themselves. It was seeing the world tear that Cher and Katie about a million extra a*seholes that first got me miffed - then last year with Misha B (and that Danyl years back). I don't care if contestants are arrogant - look at Madonna, Prince, Robbie Williams etc...isn't arrogance a prerequisite for superstardom? Poor buggers, all because they have a fat ego - half the world has a fat flippin ego these days, myself included. Annoys me that faux humility seems to win the prize. This British under-dog attitude - well, she's older than everyone else and slightly overweight, so she must be lovely. Genuine humility is fab (Aaw, lovely Rebecca Ferguson...) but it shouldn't be the thing that makes people vote. In my very un-humble opinion.

Don't worry about hijacking, it's all relevant anyway, Trolling, bullying, all the same thing.

I don't really watch it myself booblay, I stopped watching after Leona, I just knew no act would ever top that, and I was right in terms of talent. I had a vested interest in last years show, knowing of Niall from the 1D boys, and him and his Dad being long time regular supporters at Derby, and I have to admit, they've done really, really well for themselves, but in terms of talent, leona was surely the pinnacle. Anyway I'm going off track here, my missus watches it, and I've heard and seen a lot of flack thrown Rylans way, Yet apart from his over the top celebrations when he is put through, he seems a reasonably shy type, so it was nice to catch the 10 minutes in which he stood up to Garry.

I hate bullies, I don't know how people can go out of their way to make other peoples lives a misery. I'm not a saint, I have caught myself a few times saying things I regret to people, without thinking first, and I've felt awful for ages afterwards, so how people can do it deliberately, and actually get a kick out of it, is beyond me.

I like Christopher and have done since the beginning. Maybe because I'm that much older than most.
I do think he has been very, very badly treated by the panel etc.

I like Christopher too, I can't stand rylan though. Imo everyone is entitled to like who they want to, and to moan about those they don't. What annoys me is when it gets to death threat level, or the booing Christopher has been getting, or going out of your way to let the person know you don't like them. I don't agree with being two faced about things, but I also don't agree with pounding in someone's face you don't like them. Ie I've moaned about rylan a few times on my Facebook wall. He's never likely to see that SO It can't harm him. however I wouldn't dream of posting on Twitter and tagging him as that he likely will see. I do not agree with bullying. I personally was bullied no end in school and it's caused a lot of issues in my later life so I know first hand the damage it can do.

well only been on this forum for about 3 weeks i asked TODD a question after watching one of his vids he gave me the answer i needed sad to see him go but i subscribed to his youtube channel, best of luck Todd keep up the good work. Ps peeps there is heaps of other people in here more than capable of helping anyone out i'm a newbie and i get answers for everything i ask so all is not lost even though by the comments Todd will be missed.
