I've now knocked up a leather pouch, made from a bit of an old leather apron I had for work. Last time I saw a guy in a leather apron it was at the local dungeon. ooops... wrong forum Aye, and I bet that was all he was wearing!!! Nod Wink.

Yes Skwoddy, I have started a spreadsheet to record all my cartos, tanks etc and the e-juices and with a wattage chart, will work out and record the best voltage for each juice.
No doubt this will become second nature in time but for now it will be best to list them all.
Do tell me, if I am carrying a spare battery when I am out and about, what is the best way to carry it? I would not normally carry my Provari in a hard case. Just in my pocket.

Definitely not in your pocket. I got off the train after a half hour journey with one in my pocket the other day and thought for a horrible moment someone had set fire to my trousers.
They get VERY hot.

The best way to carry a spare battery is in a battery box, they are only a quid or so. A loose battery could short on change, keys, or other metal and go on fire. Someone (JayJay?) had a close call not so long ago with a battery in a pocket full of change

As for The Provari itself, I carry mine in a pocket- albeit a jacket pocket whenever possible. It does occasionally warm up slightly, but has never caused me any alarm. I suppose the vent hole in the end cap helps in that regard.

I switch my provari off overnight or if I'm carrying it in my bag etc, have always thought its a good idea if I'm not going to be using it for a while

I would never carry any e-cig in my pocket unless it was switched off. I take it those that did so when it heated up, did not have it switched off?
I will have a look for a battery box.

For those that carry 18350 batteries round, the film cartridges for camera film work perfectly.

Alternatives to a battery box - 35mm film cannister, plastic pill tube - anything insulating and battery sized really

It sounds like you ordered the full size provari Lobey?, You could at a later stage opt for the extension cap that allows 18650, thus negating carrying a spare battery round, unless you plan on being away from a charger for more than a day. Altho, I think its second nature for vapers to carry a backup of device and/or battery Edit to add 18650 caps for the mini are available from Kir Fanis

Thanks Skwoddy. I did get the Mini and an extension cap and with that it is the 18490 battery that fits it.
I looked at the Kir Fanis extension but it does not look right on my ProVari.
I was a little surprised that with the ProVari extension cap on, that it would not take the 18650 battery, but such is life. The 18490 does not last as long as I would have expected, but as the battery case from Jason takes two batteries, I have ordered a third battery and will just have to carry two spares if I am out for the day.

I always take one fully charged 18490 spare round with me and regardless of the charge state of the battery in the provari im always good for upto 14 hours away from home, I do get a little worried if I have to replace the battery early but I just vape less A provari with 18650 2000mAh battery is very tempting, if its in a case I dont care what the kirfanis cap looks like to be honest, quantity over aesthetics is necessary sometimes
