Ive ordered two rings and a ceramic from Guru so when i get them i will let you know if they fit to give us a wider scope on interchangeable parts. Just to make you aware bacon, those rings on guru are for the dripping mode. The rings have the same threading but are thinner than the standard ring. Thinner I didn't know that but it may work out better for me, hope so postage was a fortune Cheers I should have asked first

Looks like iVapour-elixir has the "other" Chody in stock now for £34.95 which is a great price if it is as good as the German one. www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/parts/rebuildable-atomisers/aga-t2-atomizer-1.htmlNot sure why it has aga-t2 in the link. Probably a typo so the link may change. I also note the two pictures shown seem to show different versions. The one showing the parts looks more like the German version. The base looks taller than the one shown in the main picture.

It's a fantastic price Steve, very tempted by it. For comparison purposes of course . . .

Don't know if I can wait that long Steve. I'm a bit concerned about the pictures showing what looks like two different versions. Worth a punt for that price though.

Absolutely Steve . . . it'll add to the fun of the parcel, be boring if we were 100% certain of what we're going to be getting.

I'm curious to know what the UK one is like and how it compares. I've just picked up a 2nd hand German one.

It's arrived I guess the main question everyone wants to know is "Is it any good". The answer is yes. I'm very pleased with it and if it was the first time I had seen an atomizer like this, I would be over the moon considering how much it cost. Excellent service from Toby as usual and it is great to have a UK source for this type of atomizer. It came all set up ready to use and also in a nice presentation box (unlike my German ones that came just in bubble wrap) Here are a few pics. Sorry about the quality I didn't want to start by comparing it to the real ody or the other chody. For £35 this is a really good attempt at this type of atomizer. Obviously the real Ody is better. The finish, threading and overall quality of the device really makes it worth the extra you would pay. If they were still available, I would only buy the original. Saying that I have bought 7 originals so far. Not that I kept them all Plus points The main one, it is available from the UK. No long waits for delivery. It is also from a very reputable vendor. This one comes ready to use. It had a wick and coil already set up which was nice. It also appears to hold more juice than the other clone. The juice control is smaller and the tank slightly taller. Initial minus points They seem to have got the top cap wrong. It looks like it was meant to be like the real Ody. That one had two parts with an o-ring between the parts. This stopped it leaking and also held the top of the juice control to keep it all tight. This chody does have the two parts, but the o-ring does not fit between them. Instead it has to go on the mouth piece before you screw that large cap on. This pushes the o-ring down the shaft and provides a basic seal. The problem is that the mouth piece appears loose all the time (unless it is in the closed position). The other problem is that the o-ring will get pushed further down the shaft the more you open the juice control. It does not go back up as you close the juice control though. So you end up with no seal to prevent the juice from leaking out. It seems a shame that they have gone to the effort of making a two piece cap like the ody and then not use it correctly. It would have been cheaper for them to have gone with a cap like the Penny instead. The other minus point is that it is not compatible with existing tanks. Less of a problem on this one because it holds the extra juice. I expect they will start making their own tanks and extras for this version. If you have not used an Odysseus before and want to have a go at this type of atomizer, this would be a good place to start. If you get the bug, you can then look at the dearer options. I would place this in my top 5 list of atomizers that I have tried.

Would it be possible to omit the o ring they supplied and fit a thinner one of your own between the two top caps a'la Oddy?

It looks a bit similar to my German one, which has a really good build quality. How does it compare?

Would it be possible to omit the o ring they supplied and fit a thinner one of your own between the two top caps a'la Oddy? I've managed to get an o-ring from a 510 drip tip to just about squeeze in there. Makes a huge difference. Also just noticed that the mouth piece is narrower than an Ody. It's the same diameter as the Penny. That means you can pop a IO6/306 drip tip over the end.

It looks a bit similar to my German one, which has a really good build quality. How does it compare? It is quite similar to the German one. They are both based on the same atomizer and have similar parts. The German one is better quality, but also more expensive. Especially with postage. Once I finish this tank of juice I will see if a real v1 ceramic will fit inside it.
