Chinese Oddy Clone

Very suspicious yes, I suppose it doesn't really matter if it brings such a great device withing reach.
But if it was made in china they would be shouting it from the rafters and wouldn't care less what Imeo thought.
The original ody is now I believe out of production with Itheka set to replace it so maybe a little underhanded permission has been approved to produce it elsewhere in greece.
Its eerily quiet with regards to it on the ecf gg forum ???

On a side note, Proteus looks to be nearing completion at long last

I 've been in touch with Tobeco yesterday. This is not the one that Stormy and Vaporfreak are selling..

They are still developing the product and it is not available to buy..They don't even know what grade stainless steel it is going to me made out of yet. Details forthcoming next month I am told..

Mine arrived from Stormy today..Fantastic build quality I must say..Haven't tried it yet but looks beautiful on the Provari..Just need to find a cone to cover the slant..

I remember reading something about Imeo sending his designs to China to see if he can get his stuff made cheaper. With all the crap I've read over on ECF though, I don't know if it was just crap or not. If he did give some plans/designs to someone though, they may be behind this.

But, I would also think that this may be something Imeo is behind too. It would make good business sense to manufacture your own "knock offs" to boost demand for the original. Again, I don't know if it's crap or not, but maybe there will be another run of Odys?

Might be the wrong place for it but still:

Imeo has hinted at a January pre-order for Ithaka. He posted a thread yesterday with his new "simple" pre-order process which will consist of a massive 3 days for pre-ordering the Ithaka

"1. I will announce the preorders 2-3 days before they start.

2. I will make a specific number of units so preorders will last until units will come to an end.

With this preorder system:

1. You will not be forced to keep an eye all day on forum or on sellers sites
2. You will have time to be prepared
3. You will not try to buy what you want by pressing F5 all day, something that is not good for anyone
4. You will have what you want for sure if you place your orders in the first 2 days of preorders. After this, it may be more difficult to buy what you want because after 2 days the units may have come to an end
5. CNC machines will not have to stop, waiting for the preorders to finish, so units will be produced sooner

I hope that we found the best system that will satisfy everyone, including me"

yea the ithaka sounds interesting, I wonder if hes gonna do many batches of it or not, at least a chance now to own a real gg item hhe

The terminator/nautilus does sounds really good, i think i saw a video of it somewhere and they were showing alot of the parts fitting the real ody, also on ecf there were alot saying the build quality was great even tho imeo was saying it wasnt close to his one and loads agreeing hehe. I think the fact it fits the real ody parts says quite a bit about the quality. Thing is if these were made in a similar proces to imeo uses and the ones on alibab r like a big production line, will they be the same quality?
The aga-t I assume is being done in quite big scale and that sounds good, just gonna hav to get both to compare hehe
