Sorry, I'd offer to give you and oneday a lift, or anyone else near me, but I fancy a drink to be honest.
And that's a problem with having the venue outside central London. If it were central London I'd train home. People are gonna have to consider that.
I'll be willing to collect people enroute there, but I'll probably end up staying in a hotel for the night if it ends up being outside central London.
But let's see what interest we get over the next few days and see where people are travelling from.

Those going back Essex way the trains run from Liverpool Street up to half twelve/quarter to one i think.

Those going other ways i'm not sure.

I think Liverpool street is the best place personally but obviously central. you've got all those bars around Shoreditch, hoxton square, brick lane, etc with easy rail access for our Essex friends.
But let's see the interest we get over the next few days, where people are travelling from, then we can better decide.
Either way I think there's enough of us now to say a meet of some description is feasible.

As for vape friendly bars. Initially at least, I'm thinking of a just starting of by finding a decent bar, sofas, and space etc just in case there's more than 6 of us. "the light bar" on Shoreditch high street for instance. Then approaching the owner and explaining in real terms what they are likely to see in there bar and hopefully get them to accept us all.
failing that, will start working our way down. But Im confident I can find a bar of some description if it's central or south. But will need someone else to find a location if it's Essex.

Liverpool street area good with me. As someone who suffers from anxiety made worse from a) public transport and b) meeting big groups of people by myself would any of you living in Essex (depending how far exactly you are) mind if I drove to yours and got train with you? Meeting few people to begin with is much easier to me than walking into pub not having met anyone!!!

ALso. I'll aim to make it but obviously will depend how bad my health is at the time. I might even persuade my partner (non vaper) to come with me As he works in London and has monthly train tickets if no-one objects?

Would mean I could travel from here and also that everything (travel, meeting people, illness) would be much easier! sure I could persuade him if I offer him some drinks!!!

I am sure we can work something out. As said in previous posts Sadie, Beautycat and m yself were planning to hook up and go together. Last night I mentioned it to my husband and he said he would like to go IF he isn't working, but he doesn't get his January shift pattern for another couple of weeks. Either way I am happy to drive so I could do as you said and pick you up at a station suitable to you. We can't have you not coming can we?!!! I understand it is not nice to walk in on a crowd not knowing anyone especially for a woman in a pub. How about we work out all the details after christmas?

If we can get somewhere around Central London, that would be fab........... must warn you however that I will prob have to leave around 10ish due to the fact that living out in the sticks the trains are pretty dire, last train to mine from Victoria is 22.45, staying over is not an option for me unfortunately due to the furry fiend , but I will come even if its just for a few hours
