Havent tried it yet , gotta get some filler At a push you can cut a strip off some cotton wool pads - just be sure it doesn't get anywhere near the coil. Burnt cotton wool tastes rank.

Well i watched the vid and looked for something to butcher. Nowt, got rid of all my cheap drippers so i made an eBaron copy instead out of an imist. Surprised meself how good it works. I will acquire a cheap dripper to do this as i really like how the spheroid and steam machine vape.

"In the interests of safety I would not recommend using mole grips, kitchen knives" Quite right, if your missus ever watches that and sees what you were doing with her cutlery she'll probably bury it in you.

The centre pin from the stardusts connector is about 6-7mm too long, it sits right between the two coil posts and must be very very close to the coil. Also i gave up on the silicon grommet to attach the tube to the drip tip, seems the grommet split when forcing them together. A small piece of heat shrink worked well in its place tho. I also found that the pin sits nicely in a cheapo plated drip tip i have so I dug out the soldering Iron today and done the metal drip tip solder method. The little "T" collar was also in the stardust. It sat on top of the coil in the main tube. So soldered the centre pin into the drip tip Before I soldered the flange on the end I had to reduce the diameter of the pole to fit with a needle file and just keep checking the length of it by trying it in the atty with the drip tips o-ring removed and checking that it's length doesn't foul the two coil poles on the A7 Got the length just right , when the drip tio is fitted the flange sits about 1-2mm above the screws on the coil posts. Just gotta get some filler now and give it a go

Right , Todd's been kind enough to send me some wadding but being the impatient type I am I robbed the wadding from a XL cartomizer to try the concept. all snug. Made a new coil with a loop the same(ish) diameter of the inside of the A7 on one side and a small tail that goes into the liquid well on the other : works grand so far , I'm like a kid with a new toy

Will it be any different if you wrapped some filler around the central stem of a Kanger T3/any bottom coil clearo which has been rewicked with slighty longer wicks which run into the filler material?

The reason I done the loop thing was because I've seen people use that method on the spheroid and tbh, after using it all afternoon , it's wicking great with the loop wick.

Yeah, refilling could be an issue..
I keep thinking the Kanger T3 is filled like other clearos from the mouthpiece/top end..
