I had that with a Peugot that I once had Prof and a Turbo Fiat Punto . . . that I forget all the spec for, but it could shift. As an aside, I phoned the elderly persons insurance company today and they've agreed after a whinge from me, to reduce my premium by £30, so that's a 50% reduction on the increase which is better than nothing I suppose.

My car failed its MOT last tuesday its at the garage now and is costing me £250 to have brakes and welding done but i did save £240 2 weeks ago by going on a price comparison site and got my cover from Saga which is for over 50's, I just qualified 16 months ago lol. Jules

I believe that fraudulent claims (there are gangs making a living out staging accidents) are one reason given by the insurance companies for the huge hikes. scylla

Yes, I remember seeing a programme about Scylla, as well as the bad winters . . . they've contributed to the price hikes. Saga insurance is the one good thing that has come of being old for me Jules.
