I feel ya, 4 days ago my kettle gave up the ghost, annoyingly the shiny blue lights that make the water look groovy still work!! You can laugh, ive been using a pan till my days off lol, Thankfully I was away at the weekend Ill nip down Argos today Im convinced that kettles have a two year timer on them to pop

I had to use the grill on the cooker to make toast It took ages Your defo right about kettles though, we don't have much luck in this household with microwaves either

My toaster and cooker will be 12 years old in march Only on second microwave in last 12 years and kettle that lasted longest was £4 in tesco and lived 6 years, we only changed it cos it was nasty white plastic, lol.

Yes, these things always seem to happen near to christmas when you need money elsewhere In the last week or so, my car has died, the dishwasher died and yesterday the gas metre died!! Thankfully no charge for a new gas metre
