I've an inkling that this link has maybe been posted before Ron, certainly a vetinary related one has . . . I think the general opinion was that it possibly wasn't of a high enough grade. But I may well have remembered that completely wrong. ???

This may explain it for you ( and me ) taken from another thread.
"There is USP/EP/BP pharma grade, food grade, and industrial grade. The USP/EP/BP pharma grade is reduced to 'food' grade once it is removed from its USP/EP/BP grade container as the propylene glycol will attract water from the surrounding air (being a humectant), and its purity will perhaps be lower than that required by USP/EP/BP pharma grade due to this possibility. So whether you source pg from a cosmetic company supplying raw materials such as pg, or an e-liquid company supplying pg - you are purchasing the same propylene glycol - USP/EP/BP pharma grade reduced to food grade due to repackaging into smaller containers (unless of course you propose to buy it by the drum)

I posted a link to really cheap veterinary PG before, and the general consensus was that it possibly wasn't pure enough, however, that was NOT BP grade, this is, and so has to be the very highest quality and purity.... Should be fantastic, great find.

That was me I think, about 6months ago The PG is bp grade, got a bottle sitting in the garage, good price and imo a better bet to buy vet supplies rather than off fleabay, but that's personal preference I guess. Hillcrest sell some nice stuff for dogs and cats too, delivery was not lightning fast but they were friendly.

No offence to you, or anyone (especially perps ) but that statement is simply not based on any facts at all, it is a matter of personal preference. Any B.P product, which stands for British Pharmacopeia BTW, must conform to the very highest pharmaceutical standards. The stuff on Ebay, assuming it is pharma grade, and this stuff, will be the same quality. www.pharmacopoeia.gov.uk/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Pharmacopoeia

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jules. But, I'm not always, I'll be the first to admit . . . generally I find a Vendor that I enjoy dealing with and serves me well, then I tend to stick with them. I get to the stage sometimes where there's only so much searching I'd like to be doing for gear.

Because I find the boots / care+ VG too thick to work with, and I've tried adding my own deionised water, but it doesn't vape as well as postmodern's aqueous VG. £3.49 for 100ml seems a bit expensive. What do you buy?

I use Boots one must admit Alvo, then add Vodka as a dilutent, haven't tried with the de-ionised , vodka dilutes it really well for me. * Hic. *

I use the boots stuff too but since I make 50/50 from it I don't dilute it and just mix it with the PG only. It does get a bit thinner if you gently warm it a bit.

Thanks you two, I will retry the boots one with vodka, I always have vodka in the house, had been put off by the potential for extra throat hit from vodka, but I shall just give it a go, suck it and see.
Now then, the question is, Vladivar, or Russian Standard?
EDIT: Ohh what percentage Vodka do you add?

Lord . . . I don't measure very much I must confess Alvo. :-[ I draw some of the VG off into a 50ml bottle, then probably add a shot measure, or until it looks viscous enough to me. Exact, I'm not.
