Some wicks take time to break in, they have a funky taste to them for a while before it clears so less wick = shorter funky taste. In. Vision clearos it really makes little difference because the juice swooshes about so much that the wicks get well fed. In novas and the like, the wick only really needs to touch the side walls because again the constant movement from hand to mouth causes swishing and as juice runs down the wall of the tank the wick mops it up. Otherwise , you need wick to be long enough to make contact with your juice resoviour Now fluffing the wicks is a whole new ball game fluffing? wicks? balls? in one sentence Fail, he said ball not balls, wash yer mind out
