Glad you're sorted. I was looking on Queasyjet & found it for £781, with transfers on top. Baggage was extra too, but as you're on honeymoon, wouldn't have thought you'd need more than budgie smugglers & bikini!!

If u do Bulgaria make sure you visit Kableshkovo on market day, it's only a 15 minute bus ride. You can eat out and drink to your hearts content at real village prices, only down side is the menu's are in Cryllic, but you just have to do as we did and look to see what every one else is eating and say 'I'll have that' LOL! Bulgaria really is fantastic, I was with a Bulgarian for 5 years so spent a lot of time there.

We go to Turkey a couple of times a year but go Self Catering rather than All Inclusive as it works out cheaper for us (3 adults) to have an apartment instead of booking 2 separate rooms and having to pay a single supplepent for our son, plus it gives us more room, having a lounge and kichen area. Also, we like to go out to different restaurants and bars instead of feeling tied to the hotel for most of our holiday.
For our June/July holiday, I've booked return Easyjet flights, inc 20kg luggage, shuttle transfers and a very nice Apart Hotel for 19 nights. The whole holiday has cost £269 each. I've booked to go again in September for 14 nights and that has worked out at £250 each.
I think to get flights as cheaply as I have, you need to book immediately the airlines release their prices as they soon start to go up in price.

I'm half thinking of renting a place in Spain for a month or so between March and May. Has anyone here experience of going the private rental route? Any tips on what to look out for and what to avoid?

There's no problem with them unless you have a problem It was them I booked through for my disastrous Egypt holiday last year, everything was fine and as per booking, but as I got severe food poisoning and tried to claim they were a nightmare. I've still got a legal claim going through.
