Any Spheroid experts please?

I have searched this and looked through all the other Spheroid threads, but I am still in the dark a bit.

I have had my Spheroid a few days now and I am well impressed with it. No flooding no leaks. Just it seems to run out of juice super quick.

I have coiled it with .20 Kanthal on 3mm wick giving 1.8ohms. This nearly blew my head off.



I bought some blue cart foam from Paradise Vape UK, and put in a section of 20mm x 50 mm (L)



It does seems overly compressed in the tank and slides in well.



Are there any pointers I need to try to get more out of this. I do have some white Jewel filter pads to try are they any better?

Here are some pics of the foam I have to try.

The blue foam from paradise has bigger holes in the it. The Jewel pads are more wool like and are more dense.

Depends on the juice, I use 70pg 30vg and for that I use enough foam to make 1 & 3/4 wraps around the tube. It does look like you're using too much foam there and that wick is burning at the coil.

Which foam do you use. Is that burning not from all the dry hits from me messing about with it?

I'm no expert, but I have also had my Spheroid for a couple of days.

I used the filler that came with it and yes, it runs out of juice very quickly.

At first I had a 1.1 ohm coil and I now have a 1.8ohm coil.

Either way, great vape for about an hour, then burnt taste.

More fiddling now required but overall, very underwhelmed by its performance.

Yep, the dry hits will cause the burning, I was just pointing out. Try reducing your foam content down to two wraps and see how you get on. I use the paradise vape stuff.

I cant really tell by the angle of the pic but it looks like the coil doesnt sit directly over the airhole, could you move the whole coil assembly above the pos and neg posts, or perhaps even better move the coil diagonally between the posts?

The trick with these is to use the minimum amount of filler, just enough to hold the juice and prevent it from pouring back out. The more filling you have in there then the less room there will be for juice. Its trial and error to start with. Also, skwoddy has a point with the coil placing, try to fit it diagonal between the terminals and about 1 mm or so above the airhole.

Lobby, try lowering your coil too if the spheroid isn't satisfying you. Scot shows a high coil in his vid.

Hi Blakey, Thanks for that.

My Spheroid, when it is working, is very satisfying, it just goes through juice like blazes.

I supose I was expecting my 2ml of juice to last me the same 4 hours of time that I get with say a Viva Nova or a clearo.
The Spheroid goes through that in an hour or less.
No wonder it says to half the MG level. Its vapourising it 4 times faster.

Then all you need is another 6 mouths for the same effect!

I know I am not a very heavy vaper but there is absolutely no way you should run out of juice in an hour

Mine lasts all day, others have two or three fills.
