I've never modded a standard e2 but aren't they the same size as the XL? If so the BD 3ml syringe should work on it too. Cut the BD syringe to the size you want by comparing to the factory tube.
By the way, when you get the BD syringes, don't throw the black rubber/silicon (not sure what it is made of) away on the plunger because it makes a great replacement for the factory filler silicone.

If you want your mod to hold more juice, then do the $3.00.
