All three eaglets have just finished feeding in the nest although I could only hear them as the camera is static.

I've just been trying to record that view but can't get my program to match the screen size - my fault I expect but you know how impenetrable software developers' instructions can be I see there's a notice saying they will leave the cam on for as long as they see the birds. [EDIT - Sorry Foxy, you already said that! ]Odin the Magnificent has brought in 9 fish by just after 8pm Just one more before midnight to beat his record, but it's not looking hopeful. EJ, Odin, Star and Storm can be found at www.carnyx.tv/CarnyxWild/WildlifeCameras/Scotland.aspxLovely clip here of Star "wingercising". They should be ringing the birds very soon - they take them away from the nest into the centre, all very traumatic scylla

Lovely Hanow, but I kept holding my breath until the very end - thought something nasty was going to happen. MM xx

Yes, I felt sure that magpies or agile cats would spoil the idyllic scene, but it was a happy ending scylla

MagicMa's PC has broken down I hope this will cheer her up when she's able to log on here again. Chick #1 (Storm, I think) has been tagged and is being replaced in the nest. Chick #2 (Star) is put in the bag for her turn, and the unhatched egg is taken for investigation. Here's Chick #2 being replaced in the nest. The man tries to move the big stick but is unsuccessful, it must be so firmly wedged! Chick #1 took ages to recover, even stayed huddled down while Star managed to get up for some dinner. Very tired today again. scylla x

The osprey chicks (tho they might need to be called juvies now) have well and truly recovered from their trauma yesterday. They are called Tore (Star, a female) and Bynack (Storm, a male). Named after local landmarks. Bynack has been seen chewing at Tore's tracker backpack Don't know if you have seen this already but I just came across a video of the Decorah eagles being banded. I am downloading it onto my hard drive to make it easier to navigate, maybe skip some of the tree-climbing Use YouTube Downloader: download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10647340.htmlscylla
