The camera will be turned off on Sunday but will reopen at the start of the nesting season in the Autumn.
There will be a tracking map for E2/D1 so we can follow her progress via her backpack and antenna.

After more than 200 million hits on the Dacorah Eagle-cam, the project leader and his cohorts decided to give us all a 'surprise' before finally switching off the camera. (see attachment). I thought it was a very nice touch - Bob Anderson (the only one in long trousers) angled the camera down to the nearby horses' field and they positioned themselves for a 'goodbye' to us all. The horses were quite intrigued by the sudden attention, one grabbed a bag in his mouth and tried to make off with it and another kept knocking the placard over so eventually they had to hold it up! All the time they were in the field I could hear D1 screeing in her cottonwood tree - she's incredibly noisy all the time. I feel quite sad now but look forward to following her on the tracking map. Foxy lovely vid ^^^^^ I can't believe how agitated I got thinking 'littlie' wasn't getting enough food, it really upset me. But alls well that ends well.
I must admit I miss watching them now - it was always the first thing I did when I logged on in the morning.
I await the next season now. Many thanks MM xx

Foxy, thanks so much for rounding off the Decorah eagles for us. MM told me you'd done it. I've saved a couple of long-distance stills from it, but with the birds I didn't feel tempted - it's not the same as capturing the live action oneself, feeling a close connection with the birds. I'm still osprey-fixated, one thing led to another - it must have been the eagles who started it off, then it was the peregrines and ospreys in quick succession. Somehow the ospreys have really got to me, they have such individual personalities and have had a struggle with long-term inclement weather - they've become the pets I can't have. Both the osspring have backpacks and it will be harrowing keeping track of them because they have quite a low survival rate. I currently have 637 video clips that I've recorded and uploaded to YouTube, and even more on my PC, I've had to rope in an external drive to store them on (not because I haven't enough space but because they slow down the laptop). I've got it bad See the red line leading out into the Atlantic Ocean? That was Deshar a couple of years ago - he took a wrong turn and headed for South America instead of Africa scylla x

This is the link to use for the best view of the nest itself, you don't have to sign up, that's only for people who want their own videos streamed: www.carnyx.tv/CarnyxWild/WildlifeCameras/Scotland.aspxThis is the RSPB's own site: www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/l/lochgarten/lochgartenospreynest2.aspxIn the left margin there are links to: LIVE VIDEO WEBCAM, which is a smaller version of the Carnyx site LIVE WEBCAM - THE NEST, which is a still-cam with a similar view to the video webcam LIVE WEBCAM - WIDER VIEW, which is another still-cam which refreshes every 2 minutes (you have to refresh browser or reclick the link), and sometimes there are wonderful close-ups there when there's a human being behind the camera - other times the pics are fuzzy, but we love them all the same scylla x

Here's one "juvie" at 8am, hanging around the nest in the hope of a fish being delivered:

Thanks for the links ^^^^^^. I did try again last night with the original one, but still couldn't get into the Scottish Osprey one. I could see others on there, just not the Scottish Osprey one.
Will follow your instructions later on. Cheers MM xx

I imagined she had gone down in the sea, like Deshar But of course it's just the last signal that's showing.
