ViVi Nova 'o' ring/silicone seals

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get some silicone seals for my vivi nova? It's brand new and is leaking around the base where the polycarbonate tank meets the metal base. (It's the 2.8ml type). Thanks!!!

Don't know of a source for the seals but some have reported using PTFE tape around the threads will provide a good seal. It should work can be found at any DIY store in the plumbers section.

Hi Di. I.ve just looked at my mini-nova & it doesn't appear to have o-rings. It could be a small crack in the tank or possibly the juice you're vaping. I know some tanks don't like certain juices. You can get o-rings from e-bay ( see link below ). Always handy to have anyway....

The nova I have is the normal sized one (if that is the way to describe it, lol!) the markings go up to 2.8ml - bought it from liberty flights over a week ago and filled it up for the first time yesterday....... banoffee cream everywhere!!! Thought I must have accidentally loosened it but, checked and it was tight enough, so i filled it with vodka (didn't want to waste any more banoffee!) and stood it on a piece of kitchen towel and it still leaked.

Di contact liberty flights and see what they say, I've bought several of these from them and they all work well.

Ah right.Sorry about that. I've just measured the o-ring on my vivi nova & I think it's 15mm diameter.

I have bought 3 others from them and no problems with any of those, only reason this one was not used on arrival was that Grizwald's Banoffee Cream was out of stock at the time and I had to wait for the delivery (and let it rest for 48hrs) I've been in two minds about contacting them because of the DOA thingy, but I suppose I've got nothing to loose by getting in touch with LF.

Sale of Goods Act, it's not fit for purpose. I've not had to contact them before for any problems but see what they say, I would expect them to put it right.

Thanks for measuring the seal - I wouldn't know whether to take an inside measurement or outside!! (Not technically minded at all!!!)

Update: Phoned Liberty Flights and talked to a very pleasant lady, I explained the problem with the vivi nova. To cut a long story short she talked with the tech guys then phoned me back and told me to send it back to them, they will take a look at it and they will replace it, no problem.

Still going to get a set of o-rings or/and some PTFE tape just in case of any future leaks!!!

I am surprised it leaks, I have quite a few mini and normal ones and never had a leak. I have looked at my mini nova and is has an oring on each end of the tank., the normal size ones have orings fitted onto the metal base and top. Are they genuine novas?

That's the same as all mine, mini and normal. All mine have either come from LF or Vapeescape and I've never had a problem, but there is always the possibility of a faulty one slipping through.
