With any vanilla custard, it's just too darn moreish, whether the much missed Pixie's or Grant's & even homemade, the steeping lark is a right PITA, temptation is way too much, so I start straightaway. :-[ Well there's always more left steeping, isn't there?

I am getting fed up with everyone pinching mine > Gaughter had some and now Mr Dolly is tucking in because he ordered something elsewhere which still hasn't been delivered!! I have only got about 10ml left and had a full 50ml las Monday grrrr

Am I the only one who can't see what all the fuss is about? It's OK, I bought 10ml before Xmas and thought it was nice from an initial taste, so went and ordered another 50ml >. But I find that i can't take more than a couple of puffs before I feel it's too sickly.

Watch out for a pre steeped 50ml on the classifieds

No you probably aren't the only one, but judging by my conversation with Grant recently, you are in the minority. He is run off his feet from orders worldwide. For me, other custard flavours are not as good, others will disagree. That's the beauty of all this. Each to their own.

You could always add some Banana flavouring in there like I did now I have a banoffee custard

Ive never had it, mostly because i read some stuff on this forum about dodgy stuff in custard or butter flavourings. I'm gonna try and live without trying it.

I've just Googled 'Diacetyl'. Yik! Nasty, dangerous sounding stuff.

So it has been confirmed by the man himself that it's Diacetyl-free and my lowly 10ml taster bottle has now been steeping for 8 days, I think it's time I got stuck in properly instead of a wee taste here and a little drop there.

I honestly don't get the fuss either. I tried alchemist egg custard tart and thought it was fantastic, read some reviews and thought to myself 'well, GVC seems to be the holy grail of custard juice', ordered some, waited patiently for a few weeks while it steeped, few drops in a dripping atty and....disappointment.

To my taste buds it's not a patch on the alchemist cupboard egg custard.

My GVC arrives with a little certificate to say how long it's already been steeped for. 6 days is plenty (today's shipment). More than a week or two and it's too rich for me.

I keep my older GVC bottles tightly screwed down.
