Well I had three goes and all three are serviceable which I'm claiming as a result! Now I wondered If perhaps I could draw on the knowledge of you good people to save me a bit of trial and error with regards to fine tuning. I used 1mm glass fibre wick and 34 ag (I think) kantha from cloud9 on vivi nova STV Here are the results as it were for your constructive criticism/advice Effort no 1 5 reasonably tight turns off wire, close together on three strands of wick= 3.2 ohms okay vapour, reasonable heat and good flavour. Effort Effort no 2 Four turns of wire slightly less tight on three strands of wick same distance apart= 2.9 ohms not the best vapour, slightly hotter,ok taste Effort no 3 Three turns of wire on four strands of wick fairly loose, widely spaced= 2.8 ohms, good vapour, okay taste, very cool, too cool in fact. None of the above as good as the ready made one showing 2.9ohms but all perfectly vape-able. Ideally I want more heat and more vapour please advise! Thank you. Chris

Vivi Nova STV..
Use a thicker wire and you can get more turns with lower resistance..

I'm having one of them days today I've made 4 cups of coffee and sat here wondering why I'm still thirsty and each time the coffee is still on the kitchen side - cold As macca says, use something like a .2mm wire which will allow you a couple more coils and try 3 lengths of wick together and wrap the coil around all 3

Just done my first ones as well. I used 1.5 and 2ml wick. Got my wire from Dee of the forum(great to deal with). The readings are around 1.9 and Im getting a good vape from them.

Cracked it today, as I only have .16 kanthal I couldn't get enough turns on the wick without the resisitance going past 3 ohms so after a little research I thought I'd have a bash at a twisted wire coil, perfect! Five turns on four bits of 1mm wick, 2.4 ohms and the best vaping experience I've had yet, loads of vapour and tremendous flavour at 8 watts, can't wait for my Aga T+ to arrive now.
