Help about the DCTs

I am thinking about buying one of these:

I have only ever used a Vivi Nova But I want to try something new

But I don't really understand about these DCTs, with a vivi it has a wick and coil, if it fails I change the wick and coil

But how do these work?
What needs to be replaced as they don't have a wick or coil??
Where do you replace?

The tank takes dual coil cartos mate,you can buy them ready holed or get them without holes and punch your own.You just replace the cartomiser when performance drops off.Boge XXL single coil cartomisers also work very well in these tanks if you don't take to the dual coil cartos.

You fill the cartomiser up,add juice to the tank and vape away.Juice keeps feeding from the tank into the hole or holes in the cartomiser.I find that for thin juices one hole is fine but for thicker VG heavy mixes two holes works better.

But I can't seem to find the replacement cartomisers for them
Also to punch a hole, how do you do that?

You can buy a carto punch or just use the old method of using a hammer and nail to pierce the outer metal tube of the carto and make your hole.I would buy a carto punch as it makes the job alot easier.In saying that i have just been buying the ready holed ones from vapingthings and they work very well.I have the carto tank that you are thinking of buying and for the money it works very well IMO.I would say just buy some cartos ready holed and see if it is for you before investing any more money in punches and more cartos.That tank you are interested in comes with a DC carto fitted so you are ready to fill and vape.

Which tank would be the similar size to a Vivi Nova?

Another question,
My vivi novas I dry burn the coil every week, it cleans off all the gunk ogg the coil
How do i do such a thing with the DCTs?

Don't dry burn the DCT Vapermorphs, you'll kill the carto. I boil my cartos as per PBusardo's vid, which I now can't find

Sorry mate,missed all your questions as haven't been around much today.If you like the Vivi Nova then go for the 3.5ml carto tank.It really isn't worth boiling cartos mate,when performance drops off just bin the carto and stick a fresh one in.I used to boil cartos and had good results but i just can't be bothered to do it anymore as cartos are so cheap when you get them from china,lol. :oI can't believe i am saying this as i always boiled my cartos.I usually get a good week or two of heavy vaping out of a dual coil carto before its ready for the bin,hope this helps you buddy.

Edit to add,definately don't try dry burning a carto as Dizzi has said above.

If you do boil your cartos bung em in the freezer afterwards. Supposed to bring em back like new.

I used to just re-fill mine and vape through the flavours until they started to taste horrible, then chuck them and use a new one.

Cartos are like so cheap from Health cabin...

Really don't try to dry burn them

I had this set up (3.5ml tank from HC & Boges) for about a year before moving on to the nova then now my taifun....really it's a good sturdy set up..
