aw i am glad you joined, irishcas! Well the first few hours have been strange, i sort of feel i dont know when i should be having a go with it, how many puffs, when to put it down etc etc. i dont smoke in the house normally, only at the back door and i have found myself heading for the back door a few times so i had a go with my new baby but it sort of feels odd and forced at the moment. I am sure i will settle into it, its still so new and doesn't feel at all "natural" yet. I should perhaps say i am unable to work due to several physical health problems so am at home a lot of the time. I cant really taste anything though i do feel the throat hit. My sense of taste and smell have been pretty poor for years, maybe this will change if i can stay off the tar filled terrors!

Glad you got going Cas, I wore a groove in the carpet today with pacing up and down . My taste buds are pretty much shot so I can't taste a lot but they are slowly improving (I think)

I am going to fill my other one with a fruit flavour tomorrow and see if i can tell the difference between that and today's which is a flue cured one.

I had that for quite a while. All the flavours I had just tasted 'sweet' rather than anything specific. The only ones that cut through it were menthols. I've been back to some flavours that I tried when I first started it's incredible how different they taste. Tastebuds rebuild amazingly quickly, and you get all the subtleties of the flavour after a time.

Irishcas - hi! Othercas - you'll get used to it, especially after you've tried a few more juices

I've mainly been using tobacco flavours mixed with chocolate or caramel to give them a bit of taste, it has been a strange journey with taste for example I bought some RY4 and loved it when I first tried it because I could actually taste something but quickly went off it to the point of repulsion ???. I bought some apple which i could just about taste and is quite pleasant but I couldn't vape it all day, but as long as I'm off the fags is the main thing

I am torn between ordering loads more stuff (i have been reading loads of the threads in here and want everything i have seen recommended to anyone, especially those lovely multicoloured clearos ) and holding fire a bit until i am sure i wont be wasting my money. I think i need to use the 24mg stuff that came with it, i find i am needing to do 2 or 3 pulls on the e-cig to feel i am getting anything though its still producing plenty of vapour. I am also a bit surprised that the liquid i put in is lasting so long, i have used well under half of the 1.6ml i put in yesterday lunchtime, i think maybe I am not using it enough? I have had 5 roll ups since i started with the vaping and have wanted more!

Hello & welcome irishcas Cas, it does sound like you aren't using your e-cig enough. To begin with especially, you will most likely need to vape on it for longer than the time you would smoke a real cig, to get enough nicotine to satisfy you.

Ah ok, maybe that is why i have still wanted a proper cig, i tend to have a few pulls then put it down again. I haven't been using it all in one go for anywhere near as long as it would take me to smoke a rolly (even though i am known as the fastest smoker in West Yorkshire)

Oh I have enjoyed reading this thread so much brightened my morning. I have been vaping since November and I have come down from 24mg to 18mg. I too am like you, want to try everything thats been recommended to everyone else hahaha. I am just waiting for Jason to take delivery of his new kits and I'll be in there. I've started mixing my own eliquid and it is definitely improving the longer its left. My ecig is never out of my hand from the time I get up till about 11. Then when I get my ass into gear, I just pop it in my pocket and it comes everywhere. It gets dragged on while I am working in the house, out shopping, in the car. Don't be afraid to use it whenever you want to. I've not touched a roll up from the day I started vaping but if you need one don't beat yourself up about it You'll soon be vaping all the time
