NIcotine and caffeine go hand in hand with each other, both addictive but caffeine negates some of the effects of nicotine, this is why alot of people like a cigarette with coffee/tea/cola. big buzz off two drugs and two drugs working against each other.

I was restless in the month and it passed. It's all about not jumping the gun with nic levels. If you smoked a lot of cigs in a day, go for a high nic strength. I was a light smoker but I'm actually a "always in my gob" vaper. I started at 20mg liquids then jumped down to 12mg and that's when the sleeplessness started. I then went back to 18mg and the sleeplessness went away.
I now can vape 20mg down to 12mg with no sleep problems but if I'm on the weaker stuff, I vape more. I was thinking of wining myself off of the nic but I feel if I do that, I will get bored of vaping which I enjoy and I don't want to quit.
I enjoy the forum, the funny looks people give me when I have my LT in full mode when I'm out and about, I love trying all the different flavours and everything else about it. If I quit the nic, I know I would feel I have no need to do it.
E.G. I only drink alcoholic drinks for the buzz. I don't drink them because I like the taste. I only drink a cup of tea or coffee to wake me up.
I know Nic has no "buzz" (unless it's mixed with over 4000 chemicals in a cig) but it keeps me interested and passionate about my hobby.

Hi Spikey,
I've been doing some reading on a US forum and there was someone having the same problem as you have. Don't know if it's any use, but the suggestion was to get some juice with 'whole tobacco alkinoids' in it. I suspect that's just something that has real tobacco in it ? Dunno if it's any use, but might be worth considering ?
I have a few bottles of real tobacco juice that I try to vape a bit when I'm down the pub which sit pretty well with a pint and really cut out the cravings so maybe that might help ? (I don't know if I can mention the particular supplier, but if you PM me I can let you know the ones I have)

I've tried the 24mg route and I don't like vaping 24mg. If I need a harder hit I just chain vape 18mg more

Also got to remember the other chemicals your withdrawing from. When I asked a doctor in America whilst working there he mentioned e cigs can give you the nicotine but not the other 4000 chemicals your body is used to. That might explain the restlessness. I smoked 20/25 rollies a day and have never vaped above 18mg and have had no probs apart from feeling weird in the first few weeks, no desire to smoke just feeling strange. I haven't smoked for a month now and the thought of a rollie? No. No thank you. Chris

spikeyfridge, I'm on a week and a day without chain-smoking roll-ups, so I know how you feel.
Personally I've had a couple of days where I felt jittery, but I managed to get through with coffee, the odd snack (something I am generally trying to avoid) and of course vaping. I started on 30mg but have been swapping between that and 18mg. The 30mg has occasionally made me feel a bit "weird", but it feels more like a real ciggy somehow (these are tobacco flavour from oksmokey).
I think there's so many things going on with stopping the stinkies and starting vaping it's hard to tell what's causing what. There's also just the habit of the physical actions, I still find myself looking for an ashtray or lighter.
That said, I've found it much easier than any other time I've tried to quit or cut down and this is already a record for me.
Good luck and remember you're not alone, the people on this forum are very cool!

Of all the dangerous chemicals in cigarettes, there are two which the health professionals pick up on, but that ordinary folks would class as harmless. Chocolate and Liquorice. Yes these are dangerous and you do get them in cigarettes! When burnt, as in a fag, the vapour they give off relax the Bronchial Muscles allowing these to expand and therefore the smoke from a cigarette will go deeper into the lungs and give you the sensation of more satisfaction from your tobacco smoke intake.
Ofcourse this does not happen when you vape and while you may get your throat hit, you will not get the deep satisfaction that a cigarette gives you.
It is these little differences that we all have to get used to and this will take time, but you will fairly quickly get used to these differences and start to enjoy the whole vaping experience.
You will soon find that the advantages of Vaping far outweigh any advantages of smoking fags.
