i have copd and on 26th feb i will be 12 weeks non smoker so am having a Lung Function Test to see if there is any improvement in my lungs without ciggy's. i am keen to get the figures from before and after the ciggy's and when i do i will post them on here so you can all see. but i already know iv improved health wise as i hardly ever cough any more and my nails are growing faster and are not stained any more and everyone says the house smells better and i look healthier so they can't all be wrong and im loving my e cig, i have a variety of flavours l like and so am in a pattern now and saving a fortune!!!! Good Luck to you ALL out there

Well done ripple, you are doing fantastic. How lucky are we to still enjoy the pleasures of not smoking, we get all the good bits and non of the bad

Best of luck with the tests Ripple!
Will be interesting to read about the improvement. I'm certain there'll be one. I'm sure we all feel better for not smoking anymore, but it'll be good to see something official to confirm it!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. x
PS: does anyone else sometimes feel a bit, oh I dunno, 'Evangelical' about this vaping lark?! WHY ISN'T EVERYONE DOING IT?!

I copied this from a post earlier I wrote (lazy, but my opinion is the same! hehe). I refrain from preaching as I would of hated it. But sometimes I just want to go to the smoking areas at work and say try this its SOOO much nicer, cheaper (if you haven't got shinyitis too bad) & healthier to boot. Oh well, their loss...

I have early onset COPD Ripple, but the last lung function/spirometer test I had showed that it has halted. I blew the pencil off the end of the graph. I was discharged 9 months ago.

I have been diagnosed as being 'border-line COPD, have had quite a few spirometer tests but I have never had the results back, although the nurse says' better than last time' after each test, feels a bit patronising to be honest. I am going to discuss it with my Dr on Monday.

i had a lung function/capacity test last friday due to a forthcoming op and i have the lungs of a non smoker which have doubled in capacity since i gave up last april. from a 350 to blowing a 650 which the nurse was impressed with as the average non smoker blows about 500.
this vaping malarkey works
