Getting new ratties today. Am soooooo excited.......Lots to do before I get them (like move Bob - serious shift into a new cage)... Am adopting them (cos adopted ratties are the best)....... And they're youngsters (bob is quite old now).....and I found someone to look after my fur babies when I'm away as well. (£5 a night all three)... Wowsies  Jane |

I use to have 3 rats.
Buddah (he was a big boy, thorny color)
Jynx (a blue "Mink" color)
Hudeneey (white)
Miss them all very much, Buddah went on untill he was 6
Jynx made it to 4.
hudeneey passed away shortly after Jynx. (they were from the same litter)
So inteligent and very playfull pets.

Our 4 rats are all gone now, Hidey, Mouse, Echo and Boo, they were the best.
Looked after a mates rat for a few weeks last year, they didn't tell us she'd never been handled.
Picked her up on day one and she sank her teeth straight into my left hand at the web between thumb and finger.
Her teeth met in the middle and she held on for about a minute, ouchy!

Awwwww I miss my rats so much! Had 15 at one stage!!! Will be getting more after I'm married! Are your new ones a black and an agouti hooded? Bit difficult to tell from pics! Are you a member of any rat forums can recommend a couple if you're interested

Yeah they're a black (constance) and an agouti (Dorcas) hooded....
I got a rat training book yesterday from amazon. Will let you know if it's any good. And I ordered hammocks off Sarah's rat accesories (only £1 each)

Awww they're gorgeous! I love hoodies especially black and silver fawn ones! My very favourites though are black Berkshires and when I start keeping them again am determined to have a black Berkshire dumbo!
If you live anywhere near me I'd be more than happy to ratsit when you go away and wouldn't even charge!

I actually got them a new gnawing cube yesterday from the pet shop ..cos they had Bob and Milo's old flower chain in their cage but they not like it and they were gnawing the bars.. They are adorable and so friendly..... There's a few good rat thingies on facebook and a new forum that's based in grampian Sarah if you'd like to join it..bit far for you to come but still Jane |

Och i didnae know you woz Scottish!! Thanks but I have my own ratty places although I'm avoiding them all at the moment cos daily discussion of them and pictures of them make me sad!! I like pictures now and then, but not constantly cos I miss mine so much! Also knowing me I'd see a pretty face and a sob story of one needing rescued and wouldn't be able to resist!
