Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Motoring fines are great revenue and with it all being done by ANPR and no manpower involved it's pure profit.
Of course they'll use the same old "think of the children/ terrorists/ paedophiles justification for it and people will roll over and say "I've got nothing to hide"

Don't know why they don't just tag us with GPS trackers and get fingerprints and DNA samples when we are born to make crime fighting easier.
Much easier if you assume everyone is guilty and then try and find the justification for it later on.

I could not even be bothered to read the report, 1 cos it's daily mail = bollocks, but mainly, cos most people that drive, no sorry people that have a driving liscence but can't drive worth a **** that pollute the roads bimbling around at many mph under the speed limit, cos it's dark, it;s windy, it;s snowy, its, wet, early in the morn and i've not taken my medication yet, or i just plain can't feckin drive, god they piss me off. Watched some programme tother night, said old people were really safe, yeah no shit sherlock, they don't go fast enogh to hurt anybody, ps is you havn't guessed i work around a place where there are loads of coffin dodgers, that all think they should be able to drive at 80 years old, where's the atomic bomb smiley?
