I had a cig earlier. So angry with myself.

I've managed to completely stop the cigs for the first time, almost 3-4 days now. I slipped up tonight at the pub and ended up having one, immediately regretting it. Now I'm so pissed off with myself I've woken up. I was even dreaming about it. All that hard work and coughing my guts up, I was almost home and dry. Argh. I'm not going to let it happen again, but I can't believe I let it happen at all.

Dont beat yourself up about it, it happens to a lot of us, I think that is just about the worst situation, down the pub with friends, done it myself.

It's no biggie - this is not like normal cessation methods where you're deliberately made to feel like a failure if you backslide. The big thing about the vaping way is that you have a fag - so what? You've not failed, you've simply had a fag. Ignore all that other bullsheet that emanates from the normal quitters and the evangelical nonsense that they spout.
How many of them stay quit? Damn few, and that's a fact.
So, have your odd fag and keep vaping - eventually you won't have one at all and even if you do, so what? Just don't start again, that's all.

I don't think you would. I think you'd say think of all the ones you haven't smoked. I think you'd say it can happen but it's nothing to be ashamed of. Plenty of people do it. I think you'd tell them that what matters is what you do now ie continue vaping and not smoking and if occasionally you slip up its okay it happens and is still a lot lot better than smoking on a daily basis.

And when you thought all the above you'd be right. Be as kind to yourself as you would to anyone else.

I was mainly angry because this is the best I've ever done. I've found a couple of flavours I really like and everything is just working well at the moment. I won't beat myself up about it though. Sorry for the moan.

I remember having a fag 3 weeks after I started vaping and I could not even finish it, that's how gross it was.

Now 6 months down the line I can't even stand the smoke anymore. Vape is such a clean and pleasant way of inhaling nicotine...

One of my mates vapes all week long and has a fag or ten on a Friday night down the pub.

It's the triggers that get you, in the pub, after dinner, during sex, etc.

I accidently stopped smoking because I didn't feel the need to anymore when I was vaping.

I'll echo what everyone else as already said, don't beat yourself up. It's perfectly normal in the first few months to have the odd stinky and one isn't going to pull you off the wagon!

It was 6 months before I had a stinky and after 3 drags it was awful, that was the very last one I ever touched although there were times that I really fancied a rollie.

You'll find as you vape longer you will feel less and less like you need a stinky and eventually you won't want to touch one at all
