recieved my UDT-L 510 MOD today , nice & solid , the threading on the end cap is quaility.(where is the spell check on here ?) anyways very posh looking & vapes like a dream with a mini nova on

If it leaves too big a hole, take it off the paperclip just to finish it off.

I've found with the s the drill bit method has been my friend.

Do the coil with a drill bit inside, then wrap the mesh to fit.

Just realised I'm telling grandma how to suck eggs...

I thought they only took 18650 and 18350.

It does but if you add the Evolve Kick and an AW 18490(18500)size battery you turn the device into a variable wattage device.Ash has confirmed that it works.

I've been playing with mine all evening...

Just when I thought I got it sorted I got some sort of hotspot (didn't look like it when testing)....do I need more coils? I only had 2...and I have 0.2 kanthal/nichrome. Do I need to use 0.15?

Sorry no pics. Initially the air hole was in the wrong place but then I put the spare o-ring on. Sorted now...

And does the filler hole need to be left open or closed? I don't know what mesh I've got...just the cheapest from the mesh place LOL

I think I have read if you leave the filler hole open it wicks better, I think 2 turns is okay, did you get a resistance reading of it? You could try moving the mesh a little to get rid of the hotspot, sometimes works, I dont know a lot about them, but there are plenty around who do. Not sure about the wire size




Was just watching the Todd video on this atty and he used .2 kanthal

Simate, ive emailed the vendor to see if his getting any more in, will let you know when he answers.

i asked him about batteries and he replied: "Any 18350 or 18650 I have tried has fitted, I use unprotected imr but I believe protected should be the same length so should fit fine, I have used button top aw and various flat batteries without an issue"

2 wraps is not enough, the resistance would by waaaaay too low with just 2 wraps, maybe around 1 ohm or lower! Go for at least 4, maybe 5. 4 wraps would give you about 1.6 ohms and 5 wraps around 2ohms.

.20 kanthal is spot on.

Up to you regarding the filler hole. See what works best for you, baring in mind it will leak if you tip it/lay it on it's side without the hole being plugged.

Which grade mesh did you get? The finer mesh such as #400 and #500 are best for superb wicking. I am guessing you may have #200 or #325, see how you get on with it, depending on the thickness of your juice you may have wicking issues, ie. the wick not being able to suck enough juice quick enough.

Here is my Aga-T2+ with a standard wick and .20 twisted kanthal and #500 mesh






and here is is with a u wick and .25 kanthal, it's sitting high in the photo as I hadn't pushed it all the way down until after I took th photo.





and here it is using 0.6 x 0.1 ribbon kanthal
