Hi all, So i started of with a Cig-Alike (JacVapour) like most of us did, Then upgraded too the Riva 1100 as most of us do, Then upgraded too a VV/VW (Vamo) as some of us do I have been through: DCT's AGA-T's Cartomizors (all sorts) Vivas Kangers Etc Etc Etc Re-wicked, prodded and poked and flooded and burnt most things on the way (learning curve ftw) Started small - Medium - Large and now going back too...................... Medium (not going back to small as that would be a disaster ) So my trusty Vamo is gonna hang up his boots with his tanks and all kinda bits and bobs and is going on Classified tomorrow as i am going back to a smaller device..... The Ego Twist 900mah with a basic Cartomizor fitted Some would say WHY, well i want a simple vape as i am a simple person and you can't get more simple than a Ego Twist. It was a great path experimenting with all those different gadgets and i loved it but now back to basics for me before i end up with so many devices and parts i will ending up opening a shop I have spent so much money with VapeEscape i should have shares with em Romelee

Whatevers good for you Romelee ,
I've taken pretty much the same journey but I'm determined to crack the genesis atomiser , I've been tinkering with the AGA's , DiD clones with a varying degree of success . So now I'm going to try a high end mod , most probably the Cobra and stick with it until I've mastered the art of wicking & coiling . Until then I'm quite happy using carts .
One good thing about this vaping malarky is that you can sell on most of the equipment fairly easily .
regards Greendollar

Hve been through eGo batteries, and now settled with my Vamo - it does the job I want it to do cheaply, no fuss, and my big 18650 lasts 2 days - what more could a bloke want!? I have no desire to go larger (if that's possible!), and my clearos and Novas work really well, so have no desire to change them either. I've reached my vaping plateau, and there's a great view from up here! Andy

If my financial situation was better I'd probably make Jason a millionaire.

Yep, I think I've settled on my Ego Twist 900mAh now, quite happy with it really with my ViVi Nova's. Might just get one more though - a Vision Spinner - then call it a day with spending on hardware. Though I'm sure I'll be tempted by new and improved products that come on the market

Part of vaping for me is saving dosh (as well as the getting rid of the stinkies, of course), hence why I'm happy with eGo-type batteries in the main and Boge cartos and CE4/5-type clearos... they all just work and are even cheaper than smoking roll-ups, so I sympathise with you romelee.. no shinys for me

I'm not sure how long I'll be here though, I may be climbing the next hill soon - I'm thinking of getting an Aga-T or similar. Funds are stopping me at the moment. That, and nails that are probably a bit too long for fiddly coils and I don't really want to cut them down!

Although I loved my Vamo, I didn't expect to start having problems with it after less than 2 months use. I've realised I'm quite happy with going back to using my Ego Twist and Vision Spinners with Vivi and Mini Novas on top.

Rebuildables are not for me I'm afraid. I'm a bit of a clutz with small fiddly things, and the mere thought of playing around with wire and wick brings me out in a cold sweat. I'm sure it would save me more money in the long run, but finds are very limited at the moment (wifey was made redundant recently ) so I'll just stick with my clearos and Novas for the time being. Sorry to hear about the problems you've had with your Vamo, Jeanie. I know this is tempting fate, but I've had no glitches with mine in 2 months - fingers crossed it continues! Andy

There was some logic to my thinking i think.....i was thinking last night... I started on Cig-alikes and that blew my throat too bits the first time i tried it, great throat hit and vape then that throat hit and vape went away and then... The Riva 1100 come along and i was back with my great throat hit and vape and guess what...that throat hit and vape went away and then... The Vamo come along and i was back with my great throat hit and vape and guess what...that throat hit and vape kinda went away and then... I thought long and hard last night looking at my Vammo and thought again "Hang on i went to e-cigs to help me quit smoking and all i am looking for now is more throat hit and more vape" Then started to think more and more about it and thought i best move back a bit here, instead of looking for more throat hit i should be looking for less throat hit/vape and less nicotine. So my aim now is too lessen my need for TH and mass amount of Vape and slowly drop my nicotine level until i need none at all. Hope that makes sense

Makes perfect sense Romelee - I have done the same, and now that I'm mixing my own, am making more sub-12mg juice than I have ever used before. And guess what? - I haven't noticed the difference. OK, when I need a good hit, it takes a bit longer to kick in, but the tastes seem more defined, and I'm not going up the wall with cravings. I will gradually lower the nic levels over the next few weeks and see how I get on, but I suspect that I can get by on sub-8mg juice if not even lower. Which all bodes well if there is an EU ban on juice over 4mg, methinks! Andy
