OK, Ive refrained from asking silly questions so far, but as I buggered up my innokin last night thinking that to dry burn you'd have to pull the wicks out... Sooooo My question is, if you have dried out the wicks and heat the coil with the wick still in place, would that not make it burn and go black?
There. Got it off me chest at last!

Hi Punisher
Many thanks for clearing that up and the offer for the vid. Your previous one did the job nicely, I just had it in my head that the wick would go black and taste burnt, so following my intuition I pulled the wick out of my innokin and obviously couldn't then get the bugger back through the coil. I did get the coil a nice orange and it did smoke for the first couple of fires, but after a couple of shots it just glowed with no smoke
Will try cleaning my vision ego later with a dry burn but need to be cautious as its my last usable one though have a few more coming from Vape-escape tomorrow.
My Best

My Best you should grab some wire and wick its realy easy to make a new head and then you can adjust the ohms I have had great sucsess ranging from 1.4 ohms to 2.4 great fun I keep making them even thought the ones I am using are still ok keep the old broken ones for now then have a play just make sure you have a multimeter or somthing like a vamo or lava tube with ohms checker

Don't know if it's just me, however, when I've done a dry burn it is never as good as the original was and I can always taste a slight burnt taste as if the wick had been scorched. I took one apart after a dry burn and the wick was very discoloured where the coil was sitting. A wee bit disappointed with this as most folk seem to do this multiple times successfully. I vape at 8 watts so this could be the prob I think!

Depends on what type of wick was in it to srart with, some go back to white and good as new, some dont and stay brown, in that case re wick them or replace the head.

I've been experimenting with washing the wick/coil heads in an ultrasonic bath. Dry burning them, then back in the ultrasonic bath. I certainly seems to get them looking as good as new and the coils look new too.

CE type ? hmm if you cant take it to peices like the ce4 then you might have probs got to get that little white silicone bit of wich covers the coil and 10 mins seems a long time
