Lap top died - again!

Hi techies

My laptop refused to charge my battery yesterday, went back to re read the tips you all gave last time, tried everything, only 1 thing left to do , remove battery, I have now found out how to do that so removed it, plug everything back in and lo and behold it is working again!
How much is new battery for an Acer Aspire- 6-cell Li-ion? :-[

Should I put the battery back in and try it again?

This is the battery for it. I would buy a new one. It's your choice what seller you go with.

Thanks but it is the wrong one, mine is 11.1v 4400mAH ASD 10D75. At least I have some idea of the cost but I don't use E Bay, I will have to shop around.

Found a genuine Acer Battery and Charger & Adapter on Amazon if ever I need one, more expensive but I prefer the real mccoy.

I have put the battery back in the laptop....it is charging and working!

going to ask a silly question lol does the lappy take its time to load ,i mean at least 5 mins! as having problem with daughters ding dong DEll till a lovely msg popped up,warning that the power supply could not be matched and wattage volts of power supply was to low.......[yes its the original psu for it]

No Andy, the problem with mine was it would not charge the battery.
Perhaps you need a new adapter /charger, how old is the lap top?

have ordered a new one on its way for the Dell
As for the acer got a new gen acer one for missus lappy,and that still never charged the battery,so she has been using it for past 2 yrs on the mains

TBH I never knew that you don't need a battery to work a Lappy..someone on here told me that so I thought I would try it for myself, I am amazed, why then do they put batteries in them?

I think i may have told you that
I never use a battery in my Laptop. Im always sat on the Sofa using mine so take the battery out and use it. Just annoying if you pull the wire out

Do you just put the battery back in to charge it then?

Yeah, battery is fully charged when i take it out.
Only time i use it is when i take lappy into kitchen etc
