I was absolutely dreading my Aunt's funeral (my sister and I organised it, in accordance with her wishes). In actual fact, it was great. It really was a celebration of her life and I reckon she was turning in her coffin cos she couldn't join in with us and her friends.
I hope your Grandad's funeral will be a comfort to your mother and the rest of your family. It's ok being supportive to your family but you mustn't bottle up your own grief for too long.
