I still dream I am smoking ..... then I reach out and find my pv and have a chug and go back to sleep ....... it happens all the time but after 35 years of smoking I cant expect miracles overnight

Not had a dream about smoking a stinky yet but I'v had some very weird vivid ones since stopping the stinky's/vaping ...... is it a side effect ?

There are over 4000 chemicals in cigarettes. Apart from the carcinogens etc the tobacco companies also put chemicals in cigarettes that alter your brain chemistry to enhance dopamine production. So giving up the stinkies is about a lot more than nicotine. I'd say weird dreams is a very possible side effect of giving up the fags

So in theory, these dreams are what non smokers have ie its normal ?

Your body's still clearing out the sheet from years of stinkies anyway, so don't be too surprised at dreams.
I've had more fun-filled erotic ones in the past year than before; makes me wish I'd stopped earlier
