Ms Taylor, thanks for being open-minded enough to set this discussion in motion - many in your position have chosen to ignore the debate after being taken in by some misconceptions and mis-truths about vaping.

A lot of the salient points have been made by the contributors to date, so I'll be brief.

I smoked for 30 years, and during that time have tried every which way to stop (except Champix, which I wouldn't want to try considering the side-effects).

I started vaping 6 months ago and haven't touched a cigarette since. Simple as that. Vaping works. I use a PVD (personal vaping device) that looks nothing like a tobacco cigarette, so there's no possibility it could be mistaken for one. I mainly use fruit-flavoured e-liquid at 24mg/ml, as I enjoy those tastes, moreso now that my tastebuds have come back and that level of nicotine keeps the cravings away.

One last point - whilst the terms e-cigs and electronic cigarettes have become the norm for vaping devices, they in themselves are misnomas. None of them are cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, roll-ups, or any other tobacco-containing product, and I believe we ought to get away from calling them such. They are PVDs or ENDS (electronic nicotine delivery systems), the one thing they most definitely are not is cigarettes.

However it concerns me you can't be bothered to create an account, this is an MEP who is happy to listen to us, ok it's only a widdly baby step forward but as vapers we need to take every single possibility to make people listen or we WILL lose.
