Tank Atomisers - Rubber Grommet?

Hi everyone,

My 6ml tank arrived today, together with some pre-punched Boge atomisers.

I assembled it without instruction but realised there is nowhere for the drip tip to attach.  The only way was to remove the rubber grommet from the top then slide the tip in there.  Now it looks like it's ready to go (waiting for my Vamo before firing it up as I'm not sure about my Ego 650mAH battery pack) but now I'm not sure why the atomisers I have are supplied with these rubber grommets with the hole in the middle?

Can anyone shed some light on my confusion?

If you're talking about the little white polo-mint type grommet in the top of the carto, then yes... chuck that away and put your drip tip in the top of the carto. I'm not sure why they ship with those grommets - but they are not needed

The grommits are there becuase when the Boges get screwed onto the cig a like auto batterys, the flat rubber grommit makes it feel more like a cig

You struggle to use a Pre punched carto on a cigalike. Suppose it's just easier on the manufacturing that they come with it, even tho it's useless.

Always nice to have confirmation

Just had a quick look through YouTube and it seems this atomiser/tank is good for an Ego battery. That saves me waiting for the Vamo. Now, where's my Grants Vanilla Custard.

Yeh, in the manufacture process the grommet may be applied before the punch
