Not sure best place to put this but think this is the right thread. Got a damaged Eternity from Karl at Chefs Vapour for free which was really good of him as he paid the postage. Anyway, I set about repairing the thread and these pics show to some extent what I did. Unfortunately a lot of the pics are not usable as way out of focus and these were the best I managed with my silly camera. The principle of repair is I cut the 510 thread of a EGO duff-battery connector to form a sort of nut. Screwed this one the damaged threads of the Eternity and then reformed the connector to shape using round nosed pliers and various size drill shanks. damaged connector which had been dropped. Next picture is better. damaged connector - better view showing how it has been deformed. Here the center pin has been removed. This is the damaged thread with the 510 'nut' place on. Now you can see how the connector that was bend has been pushed out against the threads of the sawn of ego connector. I formed this back to shape very easily using round nosed pliers and also drill bit shanks to lever it out. The 'nut' makes it easy not to over do any bending and helps reform the threads. Now it round again and tidied up using a small file and emery paper. Reassembled with the center pin I removed. The wire was tucked inside in other pics so pulled it out again, soldered to pin and reinserted. The eternity now works a treat. Assembled it with a coil and piddled and fiddled about for ages with it and then wet the wick and went for it. I am amazed how much it is different to a Vivi Nova. The vapour is amazing if the voltage is cranked up. Coil has come out at 2.2 ohms and I can actually shove 6 volts into it and no burn. Heck, it is to much vapour though and throat hit knocks me over...not a hard harsh - just a big thump for me as not used to it. Bit like 1st time you ever smoked a cigar is best way I can describe it. Back down at my normal voltages it is really good and beginning now to understand what everyone means when they talk about rebuildables. Definitely going to buy myself a bigger rebuildable with a tank. I am so chuffed to bits with it...many thanks Karl.

I do like a nice bit of lateral thinking to solve a problem.

Good fix man, ironically I have a perfectly serviceable base that needs a top half! Love the eternity, so simple and effective. Chris.

Quite an airy atomiser. Mind you, I do not have the bottom decorative ring to go on an ego thread. Have put on an air control sleeve and it tightens up the draw nicely. My twist is lasting much longer on it, think it is because it is so much more efficient at producing vapour you can take shorter puffs and also less puffs as you get a bigger hit with it.

Weird, mine is quite the opposite than airy with or without the ring, might be the Evic top cone though.

How do you change the wick in the spike and what length should I use? The wick which is in it seem to be bonded at the top of the spike. I have tried heat to debond it but did not work. So just cleaned up the bottom end which is hard as inside the cup and reshaped it best i could.

Then I fold a bit of wire in half and shove that down the whole out of the bottom then stick the new bit of wick in the loop and pull it back up. Chris.

To me it looks like 1mm folded in half will fit nicely.
