A couple of months back I invested all of about 7 quid in a "Z" shaped Test Tube Stand to make into a a stand for attys and PVs. I also bought 15 female .510 connectors and I have finally got around to making it up. 2 bits of scrap 3/8th ply, one narrow, one wide. Drilled 8mm holes in appropriate places and press fitted the female connectors in with the aid of a vice. Painted said wood with aluminium paint to match existing metal and the glued the wood to the stand. The stand will hold 15 Attys, 6 eGo type PVs and 5 Zmax/Provari type Mods. The bottom piece of wood does 2 jobs. One it holds the connectors for 7 attys, but more importantly it raises the Mods at the back so that their firing buttos are clear of the metal lip on top.
I'm really rather pleased with this cheap but useful addition to my collection.

You'd better get a patent on it quick.

One of the bits that I like about the Z tray is that when My eGo batteries eventually give up the ghost, I will be able to convert the second row to take 6 Clearos and then all my Attys and Mods will have their own housing.
I don't envisage me ever needing more than 20 attys.

Looks good.
I've barely started vaping and already find myself digging through my shoe box to find bits
Then I managed to mix up all my carto's so now I have to play a form of Russian-Vape-Roulette each time I screw one one.

Now that I am up to 21 attys, I can spend a whole evening of Russian Roulette, just trying to figure out what is where. Ofcourse, come the following evening I have already forgotten what is where and then I have to start all over again. Originally I did have a system but now I have forgotten what that system was. Old age is a wonderful stage in life. Every night is an adventure!!!!

Darnit, darnit, darnit!!!
I have just found another 5 attys I'd forgotten about. I had laid then aside for cleaning and they got lost under the clutter. Under the circumstances, I can see these getting hidden in the spares box.

Hi lobeydosser as it is a metal holder does it not scratch your mods ? No it doesn't. I have been using it without the modification of the wood and inserts since it arrived and the only problem I have had with it was the provari button catching under the lip if its place. That is solved now by lifting it up a bit. I was going to see if I could get rubber grommets for the holes but it doesn't seem to need them. I am careful when I put my Mods away or lift them out and perhaps that is why they don't get scratched.

Unless you do as I did and use some inserts in a stip of wood along the front bit, these front holes are pretty useless. But what I like about the Z tray is that it holds so much in a small place.
