The sad thing is, the talent is out there but they only get exposure if they are ripe for moulding by the likes of xfactor and co,MTV and the ilk.The song writer/performers just dont seem to be coming through. Bring back Radio Caroline

Cheers for the heads up ......Will watch later
The man was in my opinion at his best in the Early 70's Hunky Dory/Ziggy/Alladin Sane . . .Incredible song writing
Thats not dissing his earlier or later work......Just thought he peaked on those 3 albums
Mr Ronson on guitar had a lot more to do with it than people think

I'd agree with those three Lenny, and add Reality and Heathen onto the list

I discovered Bowie at 8 years old ... Ashes To Ashes is still to this date my favourite song of all time. Collected all his stuff (aside from the latest - tomorrow !) and agree with the last 2 posts. Early stuff and late 90s are exceptional. I love Station To Station. I also love Tin Machine ... you don't hear that very often. The fact that Trent Reznor loves Bowie and has worked with him ties two of my idols together

Tin Machine was a great side project. So often they are over-indulgent or just flop, but it was a great vehicle for the 'harder' side of his work

Yeah I quiet liked Tin Machine
Station to Station is a brilliant album compared to many albums of that time.......But thats just the thing with Bowie....He set such a high standard with the ones I metioned earlier............BTW I quiet liked Pin-Ups as well.....Not his writing I know but made a nice change....Sorrow.....Loved that
He also wrote the hit song for one of my all time Fav bands......Leave you to work that one out amongst yourselves......Answers on a postcard
