Last night I managed to stand on my damn glasses!! I've totalled the frame, popped one of the lenses out as well, looks like a car crash in spectacle form. Do they still do the glasses in an hour thing or is that a myth? Looks like I will have to have an eye test as well as it's been well over 2 years since I had these done. And of course won't be this weekend as its Easter, grrr!

So where's the best place for me to book for next Saturday in Cardiff and have much will I get stung for? This was my first pair and was done on the NHS, next week gonna be a PITA, gonna have to sellotape the lenses to my face.

Hate Specsavers, my local one here in Lowestoft has a great optician but appalling optical assistants that would much rather chat to each other than look after the needs of their customers.

If you go on line, Tesco opticians often offer free eye tests.

What a weird coincidence, I stood on my specs last night as well (as I was getting out of the bath) Only bent one side arm & luckily have a spare pair.

I actually rate Specsavers highly for their deals. When I stood on my specs the independent optician wanted over £100 for a new pair. I got a new pair plus a second pair free for 49 at SS

May not be of any help

But i bought my glasses from Boots 18 months ago and for once took out the insurance!!

Long story short sat on them one night and thought they were boogered and if i'd tried straightening them out with my hammer hands would have made them worse!

Thought use the insurance.

Took them back to Boots and the guy in the glasses section manged to straighten them out there and then

In the right hands they can sometimes sort them out even if you think they are beyond repair.
