Newbie?

Hi all, thought i would give rebuildables a go, i have ordered an AGA-S, 0.20 KANTHAL and some 400 ss mesh from keef @ vapegear, i have done a bit of homework on tinternet and i hope i have bought wisely for a first timer. My ? is will i get my coil's ohms high enough with this kit to use on my eVic? (i don't own a mech mod) cheers

I'm in the same boat mate, ordered one of them myself today with having no experience of rebuildables. I'm hoping to get it onto of my vamo so need to get it above 1.2 ohms

Heads up we are having a vape meet at "THE SUN INN", Stafford, why not pop down and meet fellow vapers, also learn new methods which can save you a fortune on not making bad buys.

Thanks Jeffc for the welcome and the kind invite, unfortunately i work shifts and im working that night, is THE SUN INN the one on the roundabout as you just come into stafford town center?

Hi kirrielad, i have bought mine after watching pBursado's facetube vid on the aga-t rebuild lesson link:   Becuse we have regulated device the guage of the wire is crucial to get the required ohms (i assume)

I purchased the aga-s opposed to the T2/+ as the center post is closer to the wick on the aga-s and less potential for hotspots (i think lol) if I'm wrong I'll apollogise now

Yes that`s the one right by the island in the centre.

yeh jeffc, hopefuly i can make the next, i have never been to one of these meets and would be a new but great experience, cheers jeffc

That kit should be fine. I would say go for 4 wraps, normally gives me 1.4-1.5 ohms.

i have seen a few posts now on oxidising and recently seen quite a few that dont oxidise pre rolling of the wick and only oxidising the top half not the part that sits in the tank. Is this the right way to go.

i have done my first coil/ss wick just and it worked first time no hotspots and vapes like a train on my eVic at 9.7watts, the coil came out at 1.3 ohms (my eVic stated) 4 wraps of 32 awg a1 kanthal, 400's ss mesh

oh dear not postie stalking, i hate that. coil is 1.5 ohms now, they do tend to go up slightly as it beds in, i did the procedure just as pbursado in his aga-t rebuild. it took approx 10 mins
