When reading others post's there are quite a few normal words that have been turned into links that the writer did not do, and on a post i have just done three of the words have been turned into a link, and i know i didn't do it, when hovering it brings up a link by supreme savings, click to win a bloody ipad. How do i get rid of this or stop it happening? I've scanned and cc cleaned, but no joy there.

Aha it changes, hovering has stopped being a link and now win in the first post is a link

Very strange, sounds like some kinda malware/trojan.

yeah agree rom, now running a full scan with mse, hope it finds it, it's just a pain in the ass.

Try super anti spyware and malwarebytes as they will find malware/trojans better than mse will.

Oh and do it in safemode, better that way.

No Bluefish, I'm not taking the mick , but google Superfish Window Shopper, as that causes what you describe. It's an add-on that somehow attaches itself.

Have a look at your browsers enabled addons (assuming you are using chrome or firefox or the like), one of them will likely be the culprit, they usually come part of a software package that you may have recently installed or as described a trojan from a website.

Just checked the programmes list and had one called supreme savings, that must have been it, anyhow it's gone now, hopefully lol.

Jess had it spot on rom, i'd already done scans with SAS only cookies found, it's those bloody programmers to blame inventing all this crap that no one wants
