Hi all, I was thinking of purchasing a mech mod, and taking another venture into rebuildables (after foolishly buying a 'vivi tank' terrible rebuildable).
First up, the mech mod. I want something that will take an 18350 battery - I have a couple I bought for my vamo, but I use it in 18650 99% of the time as it's my 'at home' PV. I was thinking mech because I would like it to replace my current out and about pv's which are egos of varying sizes - 350 up to 1100 (and a 1300 already on order). I also am worried about breaking the egos, as i regularly sling them in my pocket and have killed one, and bent another's collar today. I was thinking a mech would be a lot more hardy than them! (Already have a 'wee gripper' but not enjoying looking like I'm sucking my thumb whilst using it!)
Next, a rebuildable. I really fancy having a go at one of these, but have no real urgency to do so - have carto tanks, novas, ce's and cartos coming out of my ears. So I want something that would be a nice 'way in' to rebuildables. Not a dripper preferably, I have a couple of 306s which do the job admirably. No need for ultra low res either, happy with standard resistance stuff! Something which would be a plus is definitely something that would be a nice match with the mech mod - something with a tank preferably! Or should I just forget it? I always hear people say that there is a great deal of difference when using a rebuildable! Rebuilding is a skill which I would like to get into, and a benefit if I ever want to try anything new! But I am unskilled in this area!
And just to top it all off - I am a cheapskate! I recoil in horror at paying large amounts for anything - including vaping gear (my vamo was a VB one) so not looking to spend a great deal on the both of em - 50 quid(ish) in total would be perfect!
So, for all you knowledgable folk out there, what would you reccomend for a guy with 2 left hands and arms not long enough to reach deeply into his pockets?
Not asking much eh!
Thanks in advance all!

For 50ish quid.. Sigelei Telescope 19and RSSTI would recommend the rsst over say an aga t for a beginner. The aga-s is another one that is easy to set up.

Thanks raff, the #19 was one I had been looking at, as well as the KTS storm, that RSST looks really nice as well, thats the kind of thing I'm looking for!

The big advantage the RSST has is that a mesh wick will not be earthing itself onto the body of the tank. The end sits in the enclosed juice cup and the wick hole is insulated. This means that you can get away with more in terms of the coil shorting out on the wick. Just makes life that little bit easier for a beginner.

You normally get some mesh and a few inches of wire with the atomizer - the mesh will last ages so just get some kanthal wire as you may get through a few feet at the beginning.

Thanks mark, but the listing says it doesn't come with any Which guage wire should I be looking at? Not looking at making any low resistance coils (for now...)

Thanks Ash, I have eyed up the vision eternity before but never pulled the trigger! Rewicking my nova's is something that I have been considering, but the heads on em seem to last me months! I have 2 novas I have never even touched! Think I threw away 2 heads when I started vaping, and been on the current ones for a couple of months with dry burning and cleaning, so who knows how long they will last. (Plus I have at least 6 more heads just sitting there!) A big draw to rebuildables as well is that I wanna see how they perform in comparison to the stuff I already have

You will find they are no better than your VAMO within the ranges that the vamo caters for. They don't maintain the performance over the range of battery charge, you have no control over the voltage or more importantly the Wattage. But what they will do is work at super low Ohms, which is what you say you don't want to try. I would just get the RSST and use it on your current device there is a lot to play with there and you can learn to wick coils on a safer device.
