Adding an Avatar to your profile.

Firstly you need to find a pic you would like to use & if not already saved to your pictures on your PC you need to do so. (If using photobucket you can save it directly from a link - will explain this later).

If you want to use a photo/gif that you have stored in your photos/documents, you need to upload it to a host. I use photobucket as a host for my pics but there are others.

Once you have registered, click on the green upload tab. You will then get an "upload to photobucket" page with the default being "upload from my computer". Click on the green "select photos & videos" tab.

An upload window will then open where you can select a pic stored on your pc. Click on the pic of choice & then click on "open" The pic will then upload to photobucket.

Next click on "save & continue to my album"

In your album you need to copy & paste the direct link to your profile.

However, if you want to post a pic from photbucket in a thread use the IMG code.

To add to the above post, the maximum size pic you can use for an avatar is 100x100 pixels so it's best to use as square a pic as possible. It's also best to resize it if too big before adding it to your profile, otherwise it can screw up your profile page.

You can resize a pic stored on your PC using Microsoft Picture manager for instance. Or you can resize the pic once it is uploaded to photobucket by clicking on "edit" & then "resize".

Just made it max size for you by changing the 65x65 setting in your profile page to 100x100
