Hi everyone,
Just mixed my first menthol juice using the eJuiceMeUp calculator and I'm concerned over the after effects of a slightly light head (too much nicotine?) and a tiny bit of what seems like heartburn, maybe chestburn (can't quite describe it). I generally use between 8mg and 20mg nicotine juice, and usually 70/30 PG/VG (but vape quite a bit of 50/50 and like it thus this recipe).
I have:
- nicvape's 75mg (PG) nicotine base - PG and VG from Minerals-Water-Ltd (ebay purchase as recommended by users on here). - Pure menthol crystals (dissolved in PG, 3/4-filled 10ml bottle with crystals and topped up with the PG).
Used this recipe from the calculator to make 10ml of around 18mg nic juice:
- 1.8ml Nic Juice - 2.1ml PG - 4.1ml VG - 2.0ml of menthol concentrate
Can anybody see a glaring error or something I'm missing? Maybe too much menthol crystal (although it's nowhere near as strong as a cheap bottle of menthol juice I bought recently).
Cheers.

Overdone the nic most likely with the excitement of trying your first mix scs . . . take a break, eat and drink something.

Thanks Perpetua, had a pint of water and took a break but it feels like I have a polo stuck in my chest still. I'm thinking I used too much menthol but the taste isn't potent at all, barely menthol at all. Should I be steeping this to get the flavour as I thought you didn't for menthol? Cheers.

Menthol doesn't really need steeping, although a day or two might help scs . . . you may have used a bit too much menthol as you say, I'd try cutting the crystals back and maybe combining your menthol concentrate with some Peppermint next time you make it.

As Perps has stated, I will get heartburn from vaping to much, always happens with new juice as I want to taste them to quickly. Also to much nic will give me it as well, I am a lightweight and can't go to high on nic though I enjoy the darn throat hit.

Glad I'm not on my own then @sandra . Thanks for the re-assurance. I just threw that first 10ml away and diluted the menthol mix so it's more like the recommended starting point (half fill 10ml bottle with crystals). I mixed another 10ml batch but this time added Capella lemon/lime for some flavour and a few drops of sweetner. Blimey, quite close to Grizwalds arctic lemon (gorgeous), although that may be down to my shot taste buds lol. A bit of steeping and it could be great. More importantly, that first reaction I had seems to have gone. Happy days
