Ad blocking like a pro: 1. Head over to winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm and carefully read in instructions for your operating system. Log off and log back on or restart your pc Bye bye ads! For android: For this your phone MUST be rooted. If it's already rooted, ignore this step. To liberate your phone by google your phone MODEL NUMBER not the phone name. E.g the samsung galaxy s3 in the uk is actually called the i9300 or i9305 depending if it's 4g or not + the words xda root. E.G: i9300 xda root If you have a samsung galaxy device, search for the toolkit instead as it makes life a lot simpler. E.G: i9300 toolkit xda Look for any result to the xda developers website and carefully read the instructions on how to root your device. Make sure you always use the original data cable and only connect it directly to the usb port on the pc. Once you have rooted your device, Head over to code.google.com/p/ad-away/ and download the latest version onto your device. Open it up and press the block ad's button and bye bye ads even in games etc.

Just to remind everyone. It is against Proboards TOS to block adverts when viewing any of the forums hosted by them.

Just to remind everyone. It is against Proboards TOS to block adverts when viewing any of the forums hosted by them. So If I understand; any random person on the internet is forbidden from viewing any proboards forums if they are blocking ads? If that is accurate, should not EVERY Link in this list pop up a TOS and an agreement for users? Maybe I just a bit high on nic, but If I am not a member of those sites, I am in no way compelled to agree with the TOS. Please help us to understand this. Thanks I

Izan, you are a member of one of those sites. Although I understand how you & others feel, I have to let you all know about the Proboards TOS

I think adblock is a great product and encourage those around me to use it. It helps to "filter" IMHO, actual site data from distracting or misleading "marketing". My concern is that I have it installed on Mum's computer to keep her safe (and me sane) and I don't want her getting the boot from her fairy-cake forum because she (I) violated a TOS.
Have fiun I
