Don't know if that is relevant or not , you paid for an expert to report the structural integrity of the property, it seems they failed, now if this structural damage is a cause of poor workmanship you may have recourse , but if it has been caused by persons thereafter then that would be a different matter. have you been to CAB.

We only found it when a builder took the board down to install some thick insulation to try and cure the problem(it didn't),the previous owners did not cause it.Not been to CAB as i found them useless before but 3 years of battling the builders,NHBC and leaseholder is taking it's toll.

I suppose you have informed your neighbour above about THEIR FLOOR ?

The thing is a couple of times we heard noises but upstairs was out,it turned out it was the floor above,that is how bad it is.Anyone help please,we have tried everything.
