It's a American sweet, you can find its origin on wikipedia ... i was kind of hoping it would taste of salt ...

I did just the same hoping it would have a salty flavour so I can have an alternative to my beloved  roast beef (just mixed 100ml to keep me going a week or 2)

A trawl of google states that most sw taffy isn't salty ... Or if it is, its very mild

OH!!!!! yes, you know what it is and a very strong smell of roast cow, I don't use it around my friends but with a drink it is better than pork scratchings.

A friend of mine used to drink bovril with milk!

No, just their salted caramel truffley things, but the peanuts sound LUSH! If the salt PG works, this is gonna be good

You know what I have all the gear out and a jar of Marmite, Blow it I am going to have a go. This will be a laugh.

Update, spoon of Marmite and a slosh of pg 2 x 5 sec burst in the microwave now cooling back in a bit.

Suspect might need to add bitter wizard to de-sweeten the pg or vg
