Got some 2mm Ekowool from Cloud 9 as i really haven't had much joy with normal silica wick. I mean that i haven't really liked using it It frays quite easily and separates into separate strands etc, that make it a bit of a PITA. Whilst expensive seeming to start at basically a tenner for 5m having thought about it i'd have spent that much on about the same length of standard silica - so actually pretty good I've been using it for a week or so, and have found it to be a relative joy to use, as it can be flamed easily, doesn't fall apart and even likely to get cleaned, and re-used too rather than used and binned. It also wicks very well, and if rinsed/flamed delivers better clarity of flavour than most of the other silica wick i've used - from a variety of Vendors. Used it in Spheroid, SS Dream, Evods, and had better results (wicking, flavour clarity etc) than with other types tried thus far. So big hand for Ekowool - a Joy to Rebuild and Vape with

The Ekowool seems to last me much longer, I dry burnt it on my Spheroid today, it must be weeks old, it caught fire but it was as good as new, and as you say, it tastes lovely.

Aye - but 5m will last me and works out to be the same price. As i say, tried many different Vendors - and haven't liked the Silica from any really (SV's and Cig-eliquids possibly being the best) so 5m and one lot of postage made sense once i got me Spheroid

It was more for others who don't want to splash out a tenner all in one go or who need to try different widths.

I had read confusing comments about the size measurements. Does 2mm or 3mm of Eko equate to the same of normal silica.

I had read confusing comments about the size measurements. Does 2mm or 3mm of Eko equate to the same of normal silica. Because it is tubular/hollow in its make-up, it comes up slightly bigger in width due to it being flat when received

2mm = 2mm deep and 3mm wide I presume the 3mm is 3mm deep and 4mm wide? I've been using the 2mm in my EVODs for a couple of months now, very happy with it

I use the 3mm over my SS mesh wicks to not have to worry about hot spots. Once flamed it gets stiff and doesn't come unwound, and the taste is just as good after it breaks in. Slide the mesh wick in, heat the ekowool to make it stiff, and trim off the excess threads....wrap a coil and vape...works brilliantly!
I've used the 2mm in my terminator, though it wasn't as good as silica. It does wick really well though.

Many thanks Sure thing, let me take a few and figure out how to work them in this forum....and I'll get it posted. Really simple process...I only use it where the coil will be, not in the tank.
