Don't want to appear a dinosaur ( even though I am ) but can someone tell me how to use twitter? I have an account, can sign in but what do I do next? I've got the gist of Facebook, forums,ps3 and xbox but just don't get twitter!!!! If someone has a little patience to guide me to Lord Sugers page that would be good

Its rubbish, if you're not famous, it makes you feel little, unwanted and boring. Unless you like telling people what you had for lunch or plan to do for dinner.

Thats why i don't use it anyway...lol

Oh like facebook then? People talking drivel and about themselves? Just wanted to see what Sugar and the ecigs is about.

Well, Twitter is not for everyone, that's for sure. However if you want to, you can use it to do all sorts such as connecting with like-minded people using hashtags (#), finding local recommendations, keeping up to date with issues and interests, complaining at companies in a public way or, like half of Twitter, stalking celebrities.

It's an incredibly democratic medium, you get out what you put in, as with most stuff. I don't tweet much but I use it as a sort of customised news feed for stuff and people that interest me, and it has been incredibly useful for getting responses out of companies and vendors that have ignored me previously.

So, padiho, you need to find some people to follow. Search for your favourite actor/broadcaster/author/whatever in the box at the top, click on their profile, and press 'follow'. Whenever they tweet something, it'll show up in your feed. I'm @jenlawsonuk if you want to find me

Edit: just search for @lord_sugar, that'll take you to his Twitter profile, or #efags

We found our buildings surveyor via recommendations on Twitter, you can get discounts and stuff if that's what you're into too. You can search for an issue or 'trend' using hashtags and just jump into a discussion. Plenty of people get to know about jobs this way too. News, articles, awards, discussions... a whole world of possibilities!

But it's not for everyone, and yes, a lot of stalking and R'sholes

I am not really into it and rarely ever post but if something has happened in the world I sometimes log in to find out more.
