Okay, so the forum didn't let me submit my first threadpost - here we go. Hi! I'm new, not to the concept of vaping (I own a Magic Flight Box from yesteryear which deals with all of my herbal mix vaping) but to the concept of replacing all of my combustion with vapour. I ran out of cigarettes recently and decided on a whim to pick up E-Lites (I know, I know) and though they get a lot of bad press on the internet they have satisfied my two primary objectives: i) I have cut down - In fact, I only have a cigarette if I meet my missus for lunch break (she still smokes the analogues and I get suckered in temporarily) ii) I don't stink of smoke or get smoky hands anymore (a major peeve) That said, they're expensive to replace, have short batteries and I'm not even sure how to tell when a cart is absolutely dead. Heh. So though I was looking to get some Boge carts with the correct threading and fill them myself I have heard this is not the 'best' policy.. In which instance, I have come to you for help! I require a discreet PV which won't raise attention in public and which I can still mentally perceive as a 'cigarette' (funny thing, the ritualisation of cigarette culture) To this end I need your help discussing some; I know the Riva 1100 is 'Forum Favourite' but I am unable to physically hold or try these items before I buy them (as there is very little by way of retail here in the Midlands to my knowledge!) and I am unsure whether the Riva would be too big. -What is the thickness of the Riva compared to the E-Lite? -I can make an E-Lite last me two and a half days tops before the battery goes; is there a discreet PV option that will last me a day or two as a 10cig/day person without being too big? -Is there anything as discreet as a 510 cart system on these 82mm 280mAh batteries? This is the benchmark really..bigger than the E-Lite but still discreet. So, thanks for sticking with me through my rambling..if you didn't here's a TL;DR summary - Hi! I'm new, suggest me a discreet but good PV! Thanks -IM

How about one of these for a small, as in slim e cig, www.vapeescape.co.uk/joyetech-ecab-starter-kit~441 The riva's are not a lot bigger than e lites though. And you can refill the carts for the elite you have, just buy some juice, prise of the end caps and fill the wadding, simples.

Honestly all cig-a-likes are just as bad as the e-Lites! The only way really, is maybe getting a PCC (Portable Charging Case) and refill your e-Lites. What town are you in? There are plenty of small shops popping up, normally inside unrelated shops. I heard one had opened in an antique furniture shop But the reason why the Riva/Ego is the forum favourite is because it is (arguably) the best starter kits on the market. O not quite a cig feel, and bigger, think of a tobacco pipe, mixed with a Cuban cigar. Any way, the main thing I was going to say, if you tell us what town (or closest to you) there may be members nearby that can point you in the direction of a shop so you can have a play yourself. You will be surprised at how many shops there are. Oh and welcome

If you're getting 2 1/2 days from an elite, I would imagine a Riva would last you all week. Do you just have 1 draw, then put it away for 2 hours? But here is an 1100 Riva with vivi nova & a 900 ego with vision ego v3 &

Bluefish - I am still tempted to try refilling the carts I have/fill the Boge carts for the E-Lite fitting as I am currently skint until payday. The eCab was my first thought but I didn't know whether the 360mAh battery was a good upgrade choice (I wanted to see if there were any that managed to be discreet but were a definite step up!) I have also seen the eCab offered with a Kanger clearomiser for £35 here which looks quite tasteful in white. Heh. If I don't go for a Riva battery base then I will be considering this one for sure. @chrissie - Thanks for your suggestion, that definitely is discreet! Part of it is that I quite appreciate the 'look' of a cigalike on the grounds that mentally it appears to be 'the real thing'. I think this in itself helps me cut down. matt1988 - I'm in Birmingham. I haven't seen any local to me in Dudley or in the town centre yet. I know a cigalike won't cut it like a proper PV, hence me asking for suggestions I think my first step anyway will be a sample kit from CartomizerOutlet (which in truth is just as much to have extra carts as it is to try different tastes out!) but I am really doing this legwork for when I have a bit more spare cash and can afford something which will last longer in terms of vapour and battery Thanks for all your suggestions thus far! Edit: If you're getting 2 1/2 days from an elite, I would imagine a Riva would last you all week. Do you just have 1 draw, then put it away for 2 hours? But here is an 1100 Riva with vivi nova & a 900 ego with vision ego v3 [snip] That 900 looks more acceptable. Will bear that in mind too! Thanks

Just to make you aware, no cartos that you buy will fit an E-lite.

from me too! Did you kill my father? I thought I needed a cigalike too and spent £40 on an Innokin AIO. Used it once or twice, now it's in a box somewhere...each to their own though

That's a good find for E-lite users wanting to stick with their batteries but not keen on buying E-lite cartos. I think I'm right in saying that up til now we've never been able to suggest an alternative
